Between 1525 and 1866, in the entire history of the slave trade to the New World, according to the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Database, 12.5 million Africans were shipped to the New World. 10.7 million survived the dreaded Middle Passage, disembarking in North America, the Caribbean and South America.
And how many of these 10.7 million Africans were shipped directly to North America? Only about 388,000. That's right: a tiny percentage.

Dr. Bill Warner, who has studied Islam extensively, has estimated that at least a 100 million were shipped East into the Muslim countries.
What about white slaves, in particular the Irish and Scots-Irish in the 1600s and 1700s?
If I recall my history Brazil received the most of any country in the west 4 or 5 million, I believe.

I have always felt that it is easier to understand slavery if one looks at it from an economic point of view (yes, I know it was evil and the slaves were human beings, but bear with me here). Slaves were viewed as equipment. Where could they be shipped to make the most money? Back in the 1700s, the big money was to be made growing sugar. It was very labor-intensive and it generated huge profits to the growers. North America’s labor-intensive crops, tobacco, indigo, rice, and only later (after slave importation became illegal) cotton, just weren’t as lucrative as sugar, so most slaves went further south.

Moslems castrated slaves from Africa for sale in the Arab countries.
If I remember my history correctly, none after 1808. I believe slave were no longer allowed to be imported after 1808.
So more white guys died in the civil war then there ever were black slaves.

There have been slaves since before civilization. While you are correct that Slav and slave are related, they’re most likely related through Roman slave practices. There is no way to tell where the first slaves came from.

Not quite. The 1860 census listed 3,950,000 slaves in the United States. About 620,000 men were killed or died during the Civil War. The 388,000 slave number is the number of slaves brought into the country up until 1808
That is exactly true! They were by far, the biggest importer of slaves, both black and white.
