Conservatism has failed people for over ten years. Conservatism needs to be retooled so that it produces something here. Right now conservatism is an untested academic exercise.
If a majority of the people in this country believe that, the nation is lost. We are living in the end of an era...
Conservatism is a label that has been used by people who don’t do conservative things i.e. Ted Cruz and Rubio.
Conservatism is truth. Truth never fails. People fail.
`Insanity’ is doing the same thing over and over, but expecting different results.
Almost thirty years after Reagan, millions of Americans are finally saying, “My party left me.”
Shouldn’t conservatism be tried first, before it has been said to have failed?
The past 10 years of “conservatives” are not the Reagan type... They are RINO’s claiming to be conservatives..
Cruz is the closest we have to Reagan..
Trump is NO Reagan.
I’m afraid so. You can even say that conservatism hasn’t delivered any enduring conservative goals in the last thirty years.
Over that time, Democrats have delivered on enduring liberal goals.
Something has to change.
Well said. See my comment here which dovetails to your remarks as well. :-)
You're right... it's been treated like it's a college debate team ...
Conservatism failed when people who claimed to be conservative were willing to vote for traitors who were arming the Muslims and perverts who installed school curricula teaching kids the pleasures of kinky sex and who invoked homosexual marriage by executive order.
That was not a time to be on the plantation.
Conservatism has failed everyone but the conservative flea marketers who have been selling their wares for 15-20 years.
They’ve made themselves rich from selling our names to conservative candidates who hit us up for money; from selling their services as campaign directors & media consultants to candidates who are too stupid to know they’re being fleeced; from creating PACs and think-tanks and blogging and magazines; appearing on faux news networks as “patriots” and “non-spin pundits”; writing books and doing paid speaking engagements, and going to CPAC to sell their books and push their organizations.
(just to name a few)
