On Face the Nation this Sunday, I attempted to explain the 2016 cycle in 40 seconds. Pull back from the close ups on Donald J. Trump's tweets, and the political realignment we are experiencing becomes obvious and impossible to ignore. The post-Cold War left-right politics of the nation have been breaking down in slow motion for two decades. They are now being replaced by a different type of inside-outside politics.
Of course, as one more sign of how weak the establishment is, elected Republicans are the last people in the world to understand what's going on. "While still hopeful that Mr. Rubio might prevail, Mr. McConnell has begun preparing senators for the prospect of a Trump nomination, assuring them that, if it threatened to harm them in the general election, they could run negative ads about Mr. Trump to create space between him and Republican senators seeking re-election.

Very astute analysis. I was just telling my son that one of the things that has made me hate the GOPe most is the fact that while Trump is not a conservative, he’s the direct result of the GOPe refusing to listen to their base.

Trump if he can pull it off will save America from Cruz, Rubio, Jebb or Hillary all of which would have produced the exact same results the destruction of the USA by not stopping the flood of illegals and immigrants.
Trump is the only one I trust out of those running or that ran. Truly Trump will do a heroic thing risking his fortune and success to literally save us from falling in the abyss. Trump is a modern day William Wallace of braveheart only 10 billion times better. if he can become president we will all owe him our freedom , and property and lives.
Definitely Obama had the USA at the tipping point and with TPP etc. they would have destroyed the USA sending it into the abyss. But at the last second Trump arrives , really the only person in the world that i see that could have done it, saved us, and the only person in Washington that is not corrupt or bought off by the globalists and marxists.

Name a law that Senator Cruz or any politician has passed that is good for America. There are none. Cruz only helped pass the 2 worst laws ever for America TPP and the Corker bill.
Politicians have put the USA 1 milimeter away from the edge of they abyss. It will just take a little push to push us in , and TPP is a big push. Cruz is for TPP TPA obamatrade.. Trump will stop TPP and pull us back from the edge.
Many of us Americans have grown up working for a living trying to keep America what it was set out to be. To watch our government degrade America by inviting illegals, the lazy, the islam, the scum to milk it for all its worth will not stand.
Trump at least makes some think we can put a stop to the sellout. Let’s fight for it.

I think give him a fair try. If he turns out to be no good at presidenting, then vote him out. If he won’t respect such a vote and thinks he’s Mussolini, well then maybe you end up like Mussolini hanging upside down somewhere.
This isn’t rocket science. I cannot see how he could possibly be ANY worse than any GOP or Dem offerings. He -cannot- possibly be worse than Obama, Bush W, Clinton, Bush I. Hillary, Algore, Kerry, or Dole or Romney.
