Man, that dude was prescient as all get out!

We had to have him...taken care of, you know what I mean? He...he knew...too much...

This is good stuff, and I'll quote an embedded quotataion at length because it echoes what you were saying:

as Angelo Codevilla writes today. “America is now ruled by a uniformly educated class of persons that occupies the commanding heights of bureaucracy, of the judiciary, education, the media, and of large corporations, and that wields political power through the Democratic Party. Its control of access to prestige, power, privilege, and wealth exerts a gravitational pull that has made the Republican Party’s elites into its satellites.

“This class’s fatal feature is its belief that ordinary Americans are a lesser intellectual and social breed. Its increasing self-absorption, its growing contempt for whoever won’t bow to it, its dependence for votes on sectors of society whose grievances it stokes, have led it to break the most basic rule of republican life: deeming its opposition illegitimate.”

It's actually worse than that: it has turned what once was its base into that very opposition. That class need not be afraid of the Democrats, it needs to be afraid of us, and it appears from a certain growing hysteria that it has recognized the threat too late.

This is, as you pointed out, a paradigmatic shift. Trump is in the enviable position of not even having to make good on his promises, although I suspect he will. What is significant is that the disgust and revulsion with which middle class America has come to regard our would-be lords has coalesced around Trump's - let's face it - unlikely figure. That's a black swan. Trump personally isn't even the point, the point is that a Trump has become possible. That's an awful lot of comfortable, arrogant assumptions tossed onto the garbage heap of history.

I don't think the situation is recoverable for the ruling class, and I thank God for it. They're aristocrats looking out their windows and seeing tumbrels start to roll where jeweled carriages once kept them from contact with the unwashed masses. They now can hope that the tumbrels are not leading to a guillotine. If they don't, it's because this is America and not revolutionary France. Sometimes I wish they would.

In the past 100 years politicians have not passed even 1 good law at the federal level not one.All that they have done is destructive laws that give us more taxes, let more 3rd world illegals in , grow government , more government agencies, more regulations, bad trade deals. None of these things are good for America no the opposite these are destructive things for America.

So many of you think that Trump will be the problem. that's ridiculous. Trump has not done anything bad to America but Cruz and politicians that's all they done is hurt America with bad laws like the Corker bill and TPA TPP obamatrade.

Politicians always promise they will build a wall , stop illegal immigration , reduce government etc. but they've never done it and the reason is that they are corrupt liars, all of them.Politicians are the problem. Cruz is the problem . We know them by their actions. they say pretty speeches to fool you but they never have passed any good law which is the only lasting action that they could do . Politicians are the problem . And you all keep saying oh this one is different he just sounds so sincere. Bs. they are all corrupt liars.

Look we have some jobs and some opportunity because of private business and entrepreneurs like Trump. Government nor politicians have never done anything to make things better for Americans . we have some jobs etc in spite of government interference and politicians' interference . Politicians have destroyed the USA. Illegal immigrants are invading the USA and all the politicians welcome them as they 've never done a damn thing to stop them , Cruz included. No they want more 3rd world immigrants and more are coming with obamatrade TPA TPP that is a Trojan horse for immigration. And Cruz pushed for TPA etc. Cruz also voted for the Corker bill that allows Iran to build nuclear weapons to nuke the USA. Trump is not owned and not a politician.

The tale of a flawed anti-hero saving the day has been around long enough to become a historical and literary archetype. At least one other prescient guy I read stated that if The Donald hadn't risen, someone else would've filled the void.

Most Trumpsters are voting for values that you've voted against, most of your life.

We're voting for the man that will shake things up more than any other and who actually has a chance to win despite those that would try to hand the WH back to the Dims if Trump is our nominee - most of us are grounded enough in reality that we refuse to discern some of the flaws to the point where they are so overblown that only an idiot would take a bite of that sandwich.

Most here swear by Daniel Greenfield and his article the other day spelled it out clearly - perhaps most are ignoring it because he pretty much labels those who would refuse to vote for Trump if/when he becomes the nominee as stupid fools.....has Greenfield "jumped the shark" or is he right? I think he's right and I see evidence of it here every day.

You;re voting for A LIAR!
He's funded supporter for the PRO-AMNESTY BILL for more than $50,000.
He stated that he will NOT defund 'Planned Parenthood' .
You can NOT trust Trump with the Second Amendment either.

We are showing our European ancestors why America is great and why they are the losers. While EU is overrun by hoards of militant and intolerant Muslims with no intention of integration, Americans are at least trying to stop the invasion. We have seen what happens with an underclass that does not want or is unable to integrate. Negroes. We get it. They don’t. While integration started working, the tech revolution and a black nationalist movement about 1/10000 the power of Sharia, stopped it in its tracks and left us with pools of no go zones and disaffected negroes in ghetto conditions. We know how this movie ends. EU does not.

It will take two decades for the EU to see their own collapse. Do we have time to save ourselves?

Haven’t you heard about the “wall of separation”?

It’s been swallowed hook, line and sinker by a population that thinks of itself as brilliant when it demeans religious faith.

(Stick a fork in it.)

IMHO

And your omission of qualifying words/phrases makes you an even bigger liar - did he or did he not say he would shutdown the abortion part of PP? Then he realized that they do have infrastructure that might be useful. How in the hell do some of you pathetic twits organize your thoughts so that what you claim makes sense to you? It must be rough having to leave reality so far behind in order to find a niche you feel comfortable in - pathetic is what pathetic does....

I seem to recall a certain Freeper, *coughCompanyMancough* who said, ‘We are witnessing the left-right paradigm crumbling before our very eyes”, or something like that. Man, that dude was prescient as all get out!

The Left wants redistribution of the wealth of the wealthy (with the Leftists presuming that they will get their share of that redistribution).

Now, even the Left is starting to realize that unlimited immigration and H1B will mean that the existing citizens of the US will be redistributed FROM, for the benefit of the underclass of the Third World. And they don't like that idea.

You want to turn a Black government union member into a Republican Trump supporter? Mention to him that HIS pension might be at risk if we try to absorb much more of the world's poor, and in doing so risk the viability of the tax base which funds his benefits.

There are so many variables yet to sift out. It would be impossible to know right now that the Donald phenomenon would fail to make it to the nomination and then to a win. Donald has a pretty fair size box of surprises. Nowhere near all Donald’s cards have been played. Not all those plays have been wise, but not all of them have been the most foolish possible either.

Don’t get too exercised. Consider the source. Mr. Y is not Mr. Fine Distinctions.

The bible says, ye who love the Lord, hate evil. Hating evil comes as a consequence of loving the Lord. Some people turn that around and say that loving the Lord must come as a consequence of hating evil — and that is not necessarily so. Because there are other reasons one might hate evil, such as that is not the particular evil that one is in the mood for at the time.
