And that 20-25% is the most Ben Carson will get. I think Trump will get 20% plus lots of blacks will not vote for Hillary anywhere close to their votes for Obama.
Trump may pick him as VP and even if he didn’t, you can be damn sure Trump is going to wake up a lot of blacks as to who they are REALLY voting for when they support Hitlery.
I live in Atlanta and work with hundreds of black folks and socialize with black folks day in and day. Not a single one of them would know Ben Carson from Ben Affleck in a line up.
You know who they do know? Donald Trump. You know who they like? Donald Trump!
Why? Because he is a white man that they have known from TV for years and they truly get mad when the media tries to call him a racist. I will the be first to say that I am NO ambassador to how and what black folks think, but I do know for a FACT that they will defend Donald Trump as NOT A RACIST all day long. I have seen it myself.
Blacks are a whopping 12% of the population. They never vote republican so who cares?
I give up. Why do we need the Black vote?
I'm not being patronizing here. Whenever a medical question comes up in a debate, they defer to Dr. Carson for an answer. Everyone seems to respect his medical knowledge, even when he expresses it in odd ways.

Even if repubs managed to get 50% of the Philadelphia vote, the dems would get the other 110%.
The idea that most Blacks in the US will automatically vote for another Black is true, as long as the candidate is a Democrat. But if we are talking about a Republican, most Blacks will vote for the Democrat. The belief that “Democrat is good and Republican is bad” is so deeply entrenched in African American thought that it is very difficult to change their minds. So the political “expert” giving his analysis is ignoring reality and history to reach his conclusion. I think Ben Carson would make a great cabinet appointee, and if Trump does win I hope he will appoint Carson.
I worked in black schools for several years, rarely more than a day or two at one assignment. Folks there have EXCELLENT radar to tell which people are racist and which are not.
Consider how Justice Clarence Thomas is viewed by the black community.

The vast majority of Blacks would vote for George Wallace if they were given enough goodies.
Blacks always voted for the party of Lincoln, until the racists in Johnson’s party promised them welfare and food-stamps for life.
There is no certainty that the vast majority of Americans of African descent were moved in the least by the fact that Dr. Ben Carson had come out of the hood himself (unlike the Current Occupant), the only thing they would see is that the doctor was some kind of “Uncle Tom”. I guess that was some kind of pejorative, much like the scorn heaped upon Clarence Thomas.
That aside, there ARE personalities that have gotten beyond the skin color thing, and proven themselves to bleed just as read as any other American. Allen West, Alan Keyes, Condoleezza Rice, Walter E Williams, Thomas Sowell , Herman Cain, and even Armstrong Williams may be counted among those Americans of African descent that have actually embraced the promise and the principles of the American ideals. David A. Clarke, Jr., is the quintessential sheriff, first of all a law enforcement professional, and a pillar in any community.
