I've seen references to percentage differences in vote totals, but no actual numbers. So I researched the number of actual votes - Republican vs Democrat - in the current primary.
. . . . . . . . . Total Republican Votes . . . Total Democrat Votes
Arkansas . . . . . . . . 406,522 . . . . . . . . . . . . 218,120
Georgia . . . . . . . 1,293,728 . . . . . . . . . . . . 761,981
Massachusetts . . . . 609,814 . . . . . . . . . . . . 1,170,867
New Hampshire . . . . 266,949 . . . . . . . . . . . .234,457
Oklahoma . . . . . . . 459,922 . . . . . . . . . . . .335,843
S Carolina . . . . . . 738,640 . . . . . . . . . . . .368,137
Tennessee . . . . . . .854,792 . . . . . . . . . . . .371,321
Texas . . . . . . . .2,802,756 . . . . . . . . . . . . 1,430,576
Vermont . . . . . . . . 61,443 . . . . . . . . . . . .134,840
Virginia . . . . . . 1,025,389 . . . . . . . . . . . .784,937
Doesn’t surprise me since most are red states. I like the number differences between 2008 and 2016. All the extra votes are because of Trump. If not for Trump, I would think those numbers would be half they are now.
Virginia is a swing state nowadays so its numbers are very encouraging.
Good point for sure. Virginia certainly has turned purple sadly.
Become an aspiring actor. You'll be doing tables before you know it! ;-)

“Virginia certainly has turned purple sadly.”
Hopefully, President Trump will fix that with wholesale force reductions across the board in DC.
Wish I knew how to do tables. sigh

It’s in your court now...... good luck

I wonder how that compares to 2008
I’ve found total Virginia voters in 2008:
Democrat 986,203
Republican 489,252

Don’t be hard on yourself, we can all read it fine and appreciate your effort! :)
The Republican race is certainly WAY more interesting than the Democrat race.
Ideologically, there is very little difference between Herself and The Bern.
The contest within the Republican ranks covers a WIDE spread of philosophical beliefs and ideological positions.
How many of these states are open primaries with Dem crossover votes?
State | Republican | Democrat |

Arkansans | 406,522 | 218,120 |
Georgia | 1,293,728 | 761,981 |

I’ve been keeping a running tab of all the votes myself, broken down by candidate, so the MSM will have a harder time trying to snow me later on. Saying that “Cruz won big” in a state, getting 40% of the vote to Trump’s 35%, keeps it in perspective when you realize we could be talking about 500 votes.
