Democratic debate: Clinton criticizes Sanders’s plans as being too far left (Benghazi gets booed)

**SNIP**

Later in Wednesday’s debate, moderator Jorge Ramos asked Clinton about the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya, in which four Americans were killed – including the U.S. ambassador to Libya. Clinton was the secretary of state at the time, and Republicans have raised questions about whether Clinton had properly prepared State Department installations in Libya for attacks, and about whether she had misled the public about the cause of the attack.

When Ramos began to ask the question, the debate’s audience began to boo at the mention of the word “Benghazi.” He kept on, playing the tape of a relative of one of the four who died, who said she believed that Clinton had misled her about the attacks – saying they had been reactions to an anti-Islam video, rather than planned terrorist attacks.

“She’s wrong. She’s absolutely wrong,” Clinton said about the woman. She said that the explanation she had given to the families was based on what she believed at the time – which was later found to be incomplete and partially incorrect. “This was fog. This was complicated.”

After 3+ years of focus groups, "fog of war" is the best excuse Shrillary can come up with?! Sounds more like the fog of bourbon.

Unfortunately, it probably won't matter to the usual LIV. But I suspect there might be an attack ad (or 5!) being produced right now with her quotes on this issue being prominently highlighted.

Fog of war ? So Obama and Hillary were conducting a war in Libya without congressional authorization or a UN mandate ? Get out !

Hey , give the girl a break, it's not her fault.

If she had not been pinned down by snipers on the tarmac of the airport runway and if she had not been turned down when she tried to volunteer for Marines training she would have been able to see through that fog of war

Whether Sanders makes it to the ballot in the general election, he’s sucking up all of the votes that would normally be siphoned off by the Socialist Party, Workers Party, Workers World Party, and Communist Party USA.

Add up all of those voting blocs and Al Gore would’ve won Florida in 2000 even WITHOUT The Green Party vote.

Speaking of which, not an audible peep out of the Green Party this year. Are they not running a candidate under their own banner?

IMHO, the Clintons and the DNC wanted a Bernie Sanders candidacy, because they thought he would get little traction and would provide a perfect far left stance that would allow her to look more moderate in comparison. They didn't bank on what they got.

I (mercifully) didn't catch the debate. Was the crowd booing at Hillary for her inaction & lies surrounding Benghazi, or were they booing the moderator Ramos for having the nerve to even bring it up to Hillary?

I hope it's the former - if so, there might be some hope left - but the Obama/Clinton/MSM propaganda machine has worked so well over the years that I suspect it was the latter.
