Tom Coburn: Rubio 'Trustworthy' and Electable, Cruz Not 'Effective' Working with Others, Trump Carni
Breitbart ^ | 3/10/2016 | John Hayward

Posted on 03/10/2016 8:29:53 AM PST by bkopto

He said Rubio was the most “trustworthy” and electable of the candidates, while Cruz has difficulty getting things done and would have too much difficulty winning support from voters who didn’t wholeheartedly agree with his ideas, and he dismissed Trump as a “carnival barker.”

Despite Rubio's perilous standing in the polls, on the eve of the crucial winner-take-all contest in his home state of Florida, Coburn remained convinced he was the strongest candidate for the general election.

"I look at a person's heart, I look at how they voted, I look at whether I know them or not… and I'm out to win," said Coburn. "Here's one thing I know without a doubt: that if Marco Rubio is our candidate, we win. I don't think you can say that about anybody else for sure."

You know, if you ask Sen. John McCain now, ‘How do you solve the problem on the border,’ he says you’ve got to secure the border before you can ever gain the American people’s trust. Go ask him that, that’s what he’ll tell you. And that’s what Marco will tell you, too.

Every RINO will tell you that. That IS what RINOs say.

“We don’t need another wimpish, spineless compromiser, we need a strong willed believer in the US Constitution.”

Right; and someone who can garner 270 electoral votes.
Who do you think that is? glen becks choice?
or someone who is bringing thousands of new voters out?

Retire and disappear already.

He did the first step already. He's apparently having issues with the second.

Pretty quick would be less than accurate. Last option available is that actual situation. The establishment at the end has determined that Trump is a sure electoral disaster and has migrated to Cruz after cycling through the entire field. He’s the last least-worst option.

It was just a couple month’s ago that GWB singled only Cruz out in the field as someone he dislikes. That’s coming from a guy who doesn’t seem to say a bad word about anyone.

Rubio is “trustworthy” to carry out the Globalist script line by line, like a good little blackmailed criminal and depraved homo.

Hmmmm...

Retiring Sen. Tom Coburn, an Oklahoma Republican, said he is glad Barack Obama was elected president during an interview with “60 Minutes” that will air Sunday.

“Is Coburn suffering from dementia?”

A long time friend of mine and one of Coburn’s early supporters, asked me the same question this year.

I told him, that Coburn may have been a lying chameleon until he retired like people we have known for decades, then they show their flaming liberal mentality.

How out of touch can Coburn be?

Rubio has to win 1,086 delegates out of 1,434 remaining and he doesn’t even look like he’ll win his home state.

The only other way to nominate Rubio is shenanigans at the convention, which will hand the presidency to the Democrats and hurt the R’s down-ticket too.

Coburn is in a dream world.

Typical; accuse your enemy of being EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE.

Not clever; too many of us have figured that out.

Coburn is a classic example of why many in the Republican party are backing a guy like Trump.

One, Coburn is established GOP ingrained into the system for some years now. Needs to get out, away from DC more and breathe the real air of America.

Two, he inexplicably claims Rubio to be the best guy to get elected during the last week of Rubio's campaign. Rubio is sinking faster than a big rock in a little pond. Why even give your verbal backing when Rubio will be toast within the week?

Three, Coburn just dismissed all of the GOP voters who are backing the two outsiders (Cruz being an inside outsider and Trump an outside outsider) leading in the primary delegate race. What kind of idiot backs a loser right before he's down for the count? Well, besides Linda Graham endorsing Yeb the week before Yeb bit the dust?

Trump backers want a non-politician in the WH. Coburn calling him a carnival barker is fighting words to them I suspect and will only make Trump's poll numbers get ever more "Yuge!"

Coburn is part of the Washington club that just doesn't get it this time around.
