"Lee Rowland, an attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union, said that because campaign events are considered “political theater,” candidates who rent event spaces have the right to disinvite anyone they choose. Those who resist could be charged with trespassing"

I'm so confused.....If two lesbians attend Trump's rally, can they sue him for damages if he doesn't bake a cake for them? /s

Hell is the place where liberals dwell, where reason does not exist.

I love that line.

To bad that Trump is not calling for a faster use of the Death Penalty in states where inmates have been on Death Row 20+ years, many running out all appeals. The states say they don’t have the drugs...then why did they pass euthanasia laws for those who want to end a terminal illness faster?

Or that all violent criminals serve full long sentences. We have plenty of space in middle of Death Valley for multiple prison sites.

What concerns me is this notion that someone’s words are a justification for violent action to stop that person from speaking. While you may not agree, this recent idea that it incites violence and it’s the speakers fault is a new meme being pushed by the media to hold on to power.

“Trump can charge the disruptors with trespassing. I said that last night.”

I meant I remembered bigedlb’s statement above.

Are you old enough to have lived through those days? I seriously doubt that you are. You are simply parroting whatever nonsense you were fed in school.

You made the claim that:

“It is true the Martin Luther King era protests were nonviolent and Christian based.”

Those of us who remember the rioting in Watts and Harlem and dozens of cities burning know that the “King era” included militant rivals to King, the Black Power movement, that centered around SNCC, Stokely Carmichael, others who rejected King.

Apparently you are blissfully unaware of all of that in your fantasy version of the 60s.

Valdosta State University in Georgia last month, several black students complained to the police that they did not understand why they were kicked out.

Our HOA is privately-owned townhomes. Yet in the past 20 years there has been increasing amounts of trespassing in people's yards by young people who simply do not understand the meaning of "private property." They think other people's carefully tended grass is theirs to trample and other people's gardens are toilets for their dogs -- and no, we are not allowed to fence large areas according to by-laws. (I'm never living in an HOA again, but that's another thread.)

Recently a storm blew a large tree limb into the backyard of one of these young owners. She approached me, an HOA Board volunteer, and indignantly demanded, "When are they coming to remove the tree limb from my yard?"

"They" is presumably a sky god's angels who will take care of her adult responsibilites. She had absolutely no concept that her own yard is hers to care for, and wanted all the other neighbors' dues to pay for her clean-up instead of her own insurance policy.

Yes, the First Amendment, part of which states, “the right of the people to peaceably assemble...”, which the Trump supporters were doing, but which the disruptors were not.

Young people's ability to understand the concepts they cherrypick from the Constitution is on a par with their undertanding of the verses they cherrypick from the Bible.

I’m no fan of lawyer Cruz at this point, but there is no harm in using a nickname. That’s not an intent to deceive, for heaven’s sake. Nancy Reagan’s real first name was Anne.

I am clearly talking about the Max Weber inspired movement that King was emulating. You want to paint everyone with the same brush.
