Ben Carson: I'm Promised a Spot in Trump Administration
Newsmax ^ | 03/14/16 | Bill Hoffmann

Posted on 03/15/2016 12:13:40 AM PDT by kik5150

Dr. Ben Carson revealed on Newsmax TV Monday that he will work in Donald Trump's administration — at least in an "advisory capacity" — if the Republican presidential front-runner is elected to the White House.

But Carson, a retired pediatric neurosurgeon who recently endorsed Trump after dropping out of the race of the GOP nomination, declined to say exactly in what capacity he will serve or whether it's a cabinet position.

Hey, Trump is a deal maker! Campaign laws are for suckers!

That is right, pay to play and wait if he is elected. Who needs a Constitution?

I make my own deals and make them stick or I will punch you in the face or maybe not. I will get someone else to do it while I run away and hide behind security like a lil girl.

I find it very disingenuous that Ted is a Dominionist Pentecostal and Heidi is a Seventh Day Adventist but they are trying to pass themselves off as regular Baptists now that he’s running for POTUS.

More disingenuous than Trump trying to pass himself off as a practicing Presbyterian?

but if he had done a few of the things that Cruz has pulled, I would drop him in a heartbeat, unlike you.

Really? What are you waiting for him to do?

Really sleep with his daughter?

Really shoot someone on Main Street?

Oh and by the by where is that proof that Senator Cruz is having an affair while he is running for President that you say he is doing. You said Trump can do this and there is no problem because he did it BEFORE he ran for _resident. That makes it ok in your book but not while you are running for President like Senator Cruz.

Where is the proof? In your unicorn and pixie dust fairy land where Trump is your prince charming?

What a pathetic joke (expected from Red State these days but not from so many FReepers). Carson has some very good qualifications and has many who still like him - he’d be an asset instead of another commie thug if he were given a job in Washington. Funny how folks forget all sense and logic when try want to trash someone and end up baring the faults in the guys they support - who has Cruz suggested hiring for anything so far? Trump is doing what a smart manager does - planning ahead and using those plans to his advantage on the way.

Carson will soon be walking back this line of talking. There’s a reason he started out with real strength but faded as people took a closer look.

The guy is a gifted neurosurgeon who can save lives..... and he wants to work as an adviser for Donald Trump? He’s even more naive than I thought he was....

Even JR dumped Ted after that

I had wondered what JR's reaction would be, thanks for posting that.

I'm glad, but not surprised to learn this.

Trump said himself in the last debate Carson would be “helping on Education” in his administration. Doesn’t sound like there was any specific post promised.

Now, now, many Presbyterian sects don’t require much practice. No offense to the PCA, but the brand has become emblematic of the problems with the American church.

I cannot see how Cruz can win if he is the nominee against Hillary. If dems are crossing over to vote for Trump, if Trump is carrying the younger voters, the women, the blacks and so many are showing up at rallies to see him. I think Cruz would be a decent president but I just don’t see the enthusiasm out there for him. Clinton name recognition would gain votes to the low information voters. We would have 2012 all over again. That’s my concern.

conservatives and patriots have been pushed FAR beyond the extreme, and though a little over the top sometimes, I can see why they think only a Trump can save us.

I have to agree after Ted’s Chicago remarks.

Ted can’t save us, so if Trump turns out to be a mess, it wasn’t like anyone was going to do any better. and he might just surprise a lot of people.

as for the board, there are science, technology, old politics, military and astronomy threads that are fascinating, along with all the history I have learned.

I guess I grew up streetwise but not worldly, and have learned much. maybe a small book full of things.

Most definitely. Trump has never tried to pass himself off as ‘holier than thou’ like Cruz. Trump talks about closing the border and fixing the country not going in as an end times King to gain control of the end times wealth for the end times high priests.

Cruz is done after the Chicago comments.

He’s proven too weak or what we need now.

I wont argue with Cruz supporters as I was one until her insulted my home state, sent out shame mails, voted for TPA, the Iran vote, lied about Carson dropping out and blamed trump for violence that he had nothing to do with.

I cut cruz supporters more slack because I hung in there for a long time until I couldn’t anymore.

But the gentleman loser clinging to his belief that Cruz and cruz only has conservative values reminds of the song “angry young man” by Billie Joel.

as for me, i’ll be on the front lines in the first Trump rally in NYC.

And I’m sure that in 4 years you will be eagerly looking forward to voting Trump for reelection.

One of the things Trump insists on; Carry through with promises made during the sale.

That was an important factor in acquiring ten billion dollars, and it will be an important factor in making him the greatest president of modern times.

The only downside?

You won’t get to tell your grandkids that you voted for him the first time.

From another related article:

“The way I look at it, even if Donald Trump turns out not to be such a great president – which I don’t think is the case, I think he’s going to surround himself with really good people – but even if he didn’t, we’re only looking at four years,” the former GOP presidential candidate said on Newsmax TV’s “The Steve Malzberg Show...” -Dr. Ben Carson
