Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders called the controversy over immigration "trumped up" today during a visit to the U.S.-Mexico border near Nogales, Arizona, just days before the primary in this southwest state.
"The so-called immigration problem we face today at this particular moment, is a trumped up and exaggerated problem," he said during a hillside press conference with the expansive, brown border fence stretching off into the distance behind him. His microphone was run off of a generator.
Sanders went on to quote numbers from the Pew research center that indicate more people have been going from the United State to Mexico, rather than the other way around.

Bernie, You probably don’t need a wall in Vermont. I doubt many illegals are crossing into your state.
I noticed that the liars love statistics.

Wow, I cant imagine what it will be like in ten years, with twice as many criminal invaders in our towns!
I hope we find a way to turn back this invasion, before it metastasizes, and we have to use terrible methods to cut it out.
If we can......

"In fact, climate change is directly related to the growth of terrorism," said Sanders.
"And if we do not get our act together and listen to what the scientists say, you're going to see counties all over the world...they're going to be struggling over limited amounts of water, limited amounts of land to grow their crops, and you're going to see all kinds of international conflict."
Sanders said at the second Democratic debate in Iowa that climate change poses the biggest threat to America's national security and to security of the world. ..."
Really? Then you shouldn't have an objection to tearing the fence around the White House down, right, Bernie?
We need a wall to keep people OUT. Sanders’ comrades in the Soviet Union needed one to keep people IN.
If we could dump a lot of the illegals and refugees on Vermont, he wouldn’t even win Vermont. Those fine progressives would have an eye-opening experience.
And we sure don’t need Bernie Sanders.
There are at least 30 million fraudulently documented foreigners in our country now. Thousands more cross the southern border every day.
Every day more Americans are killed and injured by these fraudulently docmented foreigners.
They are costing American citizens $500 billion a year.
Bernie and the other socialists want them as voters because real Americans don’t want the socialist utopia they have in mind for us.
I hope that Bernie or one of Bernie’s family members never gets killed in a an accident caused by a drunk illegal. I could never hope for such a horrible thing to happen to him.
I knew frothing socialists exactly like Bernie in college in the late 60’s. They were crazy then. They are probably still as crazy as Bernie now. It always seemed to be some kind of a mental issue.
I would like to invite Comrade Sanders to spend a few days here in Hidden Valley, then with a straight face tell me we don’t need a wall. Even if as he says immigration is down, drug smuggling is on the rise. PCSO , 60 freaking miles from the border interdicts and removes somewhere in the range of 500 to 1000 pounds of narcotics along with the smugglers damn near weekly. And that is only the ones caught.
As an aside, the funniest thing I saw last week with all the candidates here, was the “reporterette” from Channel 3, out in front of the convention center talking with Sanders supporters. Holding a BERNIE SAMDERS BUMPER STICKER in front of her mic.

Someone tell that idiot Sanders that Trump’s wall will have gates. The wall without gates would go up AFTER the socialism he wants has been in place for a few years.
No Bernie supporters were there to help me out the other night in pulling two piss drunk Ecuadorans out of an unregistered, uninsured, overturned SUV, either. But there were definitely some newly-minted Trump supporters.
