Poll: Nearly Half Of Republican Women Wouldn't Vote For Trump

By GABBY MORRONGIELLO 3/24/16

A new survey of women voters suggests a general election contest between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton could be disastrous for the Republican Party.

Nearly half of the female Republican electorate (47 percent) currently has a difficult time imagining voting for Trump as the Republican presidential nominee, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

Far fewer say the same of Trump's two remaining opponents, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (32 percent) and Ohio Gov. John Kasich (27 percent).

Trump also has the worst favorability rating among female voters overall of any remaining Republican presidential hopeful. Seventy percent of women voters harbor negative views of the brash New York billionaire, compared to just 21 percent who view him favorably.

Moreover, the tendency among women voters to lean Democratic became even more pronounced when they were asked to consider a Trump versus Clinton matchup. In that scenario, 31 percent of women would vote for Trump, while 58 percent would choose Clinton.

“In order to win, Trump or Cruz will have to win at least 80% of Republicans AND get a high percentage of independents.”

Trump is the only candidate that can get ‘a high percentage of independents’. I like Cruz, but he just can’t do that. Women are NOT going to flock to a Cruz ticket.

“If half of GOP women will not vote for him (and even higher percentages of independent and Dem women will not vote for him), he has no path to win the election. “

So if you don’t win a majority you lose...?

Thanks Captain Obvious.

Independent women hate Hillary. There’s no republican that’s going to win more independent women (and men) than Trump.

Donald Trump has proven himself to be one low class dude, I’m telling you. Just when you thought it could get no more crass and offensive.

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have completely opposite views on immigration.

Donald Trump wants to build a wall on the Mexican border to keep out immigrants, while Hillary wants completely open borders so that immigrants will flood in.

Yet the clearer it becomes that Hillary would overwhelm Donald Trump in a presidential election, the more fervently Donald Trump’s supporters promote his candidacy.

The worst nightmare for those who fear and abhor immigrants would be life under a Hillary Clinton presidency, where immigrants would be welcomed with open arms and illegal immigrants already here would be given full citizenship.

But unless the Republicans nominate someone who can beat Hillary, that will be life in America.

Trump supporters despise the Republican Establishment and want to defeat its favorite candidate, Ted Cruz. Yet, on the other hand, they’re doing everything possible to help the Democratic Establishment achieve its goal of putting Hillary in the White House by promoting Donald Trump who is most likely to lose to Hillary.

I am a woman and I was insulted by Cruz saying “The American people don’t want to have that conversation” about illegals.

Nothing Trump has said has bothered me.

I love Trump because he IS crass and crude....A true vulgarian like myself.

It's one of his best tools to STOMP out political correctness, the marxist muslim uniparty and the communist press.

Man up and take a load off your knees.

Yes, yes women hate Trump, they hate him with a CAPITAL H! You can see them everywhere with hate in their eyes, their heads tilted and their eyes popping out of socket with blind mad insane hatred!

Everywhere Trump goes, women lunge at him trying to scratch his eyeballs out. They scream and shriek and find it hard to sleep at night. They can’t get him out of their heads, they just want an end to this misery!

And just when women think it can’t get worse, Trump tweets yet one more time, yet just once more, he cannot resist, he can’t help himself, he’s so obsessed he can’t stop, he’s going to .... going to ....

TWEET ABOUT THE GYN! THE MEGYN!

Oh when will it ever stop, this hatred of all things GYN? Trump must be stopped before women go out of their frickin minds!!!!!!

STOP TRUMP NOW!

It helps to read the article before posting. It says 47% of Republican women can’t see voting for Trump in the GENERAL election, not the primary. That means they are either staying home or voting for Hillary. This is a disaster in the making.

The henkster’s mom, wife and sister are solidly in that 47%. They do not like Trump at all, and they have been Republicans all their lives. Trumpkins should not scoff at this.
