Trump does not get the nomination and the gopE/RNC is over. No way cruz wins a national election and the down ballot results would guarantee America goes the way of Venezuela.
This is actually exactly what they do if a contested convention is in play. Trump could also steal supporters of committed delegates of others. Some delegates are bound beyond the 1st round, like Florida which If I remember correctly are bound for 3 rounds.
Trump to delegates: free stays in Trump 5 star hotels for the next 5 years. ;^)
interesting thought...since this isn’t an official government thing but a private convention by a political party that makes it’s own rules up as it goes, there’s no reason Trump can’t just buy enough delegates if it comes to a brokered convention. Ideiology is one thing, cash is something else.

As a staunch Trump supporter I don't see it as World Ending,. I do, however, see it as a lost opportunity to take out the oligarchs that control the process through the puppet establishments of both political parties.
Cruz has proven himself to be just another puppet for sale to the highest bidder.
I hope cruz steals all 50 in SC on the 2nd ballot
