The WTO Has Put America on the Path to Becoming a “Colony” Again

The World Trade Organization (WTO) has come to represent the most efficient form of colonization the world has ever seen – reaping all the benefits with no downsides of occupation. The corporate agenda of the organization has destroyed the American economy, allowing multinationalists to exploit the world’s cheap resources and put America out of work and out of business.

The WTO routinely trumps U.S. laws and conventions with its rulings. According to former trade representative Robert Lighthizer, the U.S. is one of the most sued nations in the WTO, and we lose 9 out of every 10 cases brought against us. By signing the agreement with the World Trade Organization, Congress agreed to concede a major portion of our sovereignty and usurp our democratic legislative process, including:

America is a colony
Barry considers this as payback and restitution and retribution for its empire building

We need someone to launch a legal challenge to these WTO tribunals etc on the grounds that they deny American citizens and corporations due process of law. Treaties may be the supreme law of the land but they cannot grant to any tribunal powers that the US government doesn't have in the first place.

"This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States , shall be the supreme Law of the Land"

It would be a good precedent to have a treaty ruled unconstitutional.

"We need someone" is not a copout. We need someone with standing, good lawyers, and deep pockets.

I was amazed at how many companies jumped on board the “world-class” thingy in the 1990’s. It seemed, along with other buzz words, as forsaking the ‘American company’ for some questionable identity.

It wasn’t even two decades before I saw how correct I was. I don’t think all of it can be reversed.

Then we have Bam-Bam going to Germany in 2008 and declaring “I’m a ‘citizen of the world’”. There used to be some video of him (remixed) by one of his idiot fans. Oh, he’s a ‘citizen of the world’ alright.

All these ‘world organizations’ are going to love the Antichrist when he comes. He’ll tell them what a fine job they’ve been doing; especially at the ole United Nations.

Conforming U.S. laws, regulations and administrative procedures to the will of the WTO

That's the part that ain't valid.

Lemme know when the Boehner gang goes against it.

We were a staunch protectionist country up to 1913. The First Law passed by the first congress was the Tariff Act of 1789. It was signed by President Washington.

Goodness gracious, comparing the world economy of 1787 to the economy of 2016 is like comparing covered wagons to space shuttles.

It is incredibly absurd

Without getting into it too far, the basis might be Field v. Clark in 1892 and B. Altman and Co. v. United States in 1912.

I wish the 2016 Republican Party would read the Republican Party platform of 1924.

The Tariff

We reaffirm our belief in the protective tariff to extend needed protection to our productive industries. We believe in protection as a national policy, with due and equal regard to all sections and to all classes. It is only by adherence to such a policy that the well being of the consumers can be safeguarded that there can be assured to American agriculture, to American labor and to American manufacturers a return to perpetrate American standards of life. A protective tariff is designed to support the high American economic level of life for the average family and to prevent a lowering to the levels of economic life prevailing in other lands.

In the history of the nation the protective tariff system has ever justified itself by restoring confidence, promoting industrial activity and employment, enormously increasing our purchasing power and bringing increased prosperity to all our people.

The tariff protection to our industry works for increased consumption of domestic agricultural products by an employed population instead of one unable to purchase the necessities of life. Without the strict maintenance of the tariff principle our farmers will need always to compete with cheap lands and cheap labor abroad and with lower standards of living.

The enormous value of the protective principle has once more been demonstrated by the emergency tariff act of 1921 and the tariff act of 1922.

We assert our belief in the elastic provision adopted by congress in the tariff act of 1922 providing for a method of readjusting the tariff rates and the classifications in order to meet changing economic conditions when such changed conditions are brought to the attention of the president by complaint or application.

We believe that the power to increase or decrease any rate of duty provided in the tariff furnishes a safeguard on the one hand against excessive taxes and on the other hand against too high customs charges.

The wise provisions of this section of the tariff act afford ample opportunity for tariff duties to be adjusted after a hearing in order that they may cover the actual differences in the cost of production in the United States and the principal competing countries of the world.

We also believe that the application of this provision of the tariff act will contribute to business stability by making unnecessary general disturbances which are usually incident to general tariff revisions.

Thats true !
Even now, the U.S.A. is fighting politically to determine if Corporate Bussiness is America ,
or is it the voting citizenry.. !
who control America.
Corporations will welcome anyone who assures them a profit while ,
Americans are looking for a prophet to avoid the 'Devil's Filthy Lucre' .

There is a difference between Corporatism vs. Capitalism
Hillary represents Corporatism and cronyism ,
Trump represents Capitalism .
Bernie says he represents Social Communism , but his assets and his wife's assets say something else, and Bernie isn't sharing his wealth ,
but wants other peoples money to pay for everything he is promising.

Suggest a reading of Edmund Burke's 1775 Speech on Conciliation. . . ." for a broadened understanding of a British leader's view at that early date on the astounding economic contribution this "Colony" in America was making to Britain and to the world--all of which he attributed to their "spirit of liberty."
