It wasn’t just the White Hut. The Secretary of State at that time was clueless about Libya also. She still hasn’t got a clue. She’s claiming that nobody died in Libya.
Trump isn’t a dummy on foreign policy, he is naive...
Hopefully, he gets the right people on his team to help him make good decisions..

A dumb guy who surrounds himself with dumb guys. I guess that way he doesn’t feel like the dumbest guy in the room. He’ll sacrifice lives to protect his ego. Most probably the most flawed president in the history of this country.
My question is this. Was the ostensible purpose in his “interviews” based on the pretext that he has some personal memoirs, book or expose on the literary market right now?

She probably told her staff to remove any mention of casualties from her e-mails before forwarding them to her, just as she told them to remove any classification labels.
This was a devastating show on the ineptness of Obama’s foreign policy and treatment of the military. They even interviewed Leiberman who outlined the administration’s ridiculous PC mindset.
In the end, it is ALWAYS about the money (or power that gets them the MONEY). Always.
I’m guessing, purely conjecture on my part admittedly, that Gates has some tooky ass book he’s hawking off to pad his dacha - maybe furnish it and add a waterbed or whatever.
I’d further guess that he filled out an “Obama Butthurt Dispensation Form” that blessed his expose.....
My instinct is that if they were evil enough to throw in with that bastard, they are still evil enough to lie to you so they can get your money for a book.

The “military strategy” in Libya was gun running. The arms, originally smuggled into Libya, that had been used to overcome Muhammar Qadaffi, were supposed to be turned back in and transshipped through Turkey and to the “anti-Assad” rebels, most of whom were made up of elements of al Qaeda and the nascent ISIS shock troops.
Only, the Muslim Brotherhood contingent that was active in Libya did not want to give up the arms, and in the distance-and-direction urination contest between the “rebels” in Libya and the Current Regime now squatting in the White Hut in that territory once known as “the United States of America”, the MB largely won, forcing some unpleasant choices upon the Current Regime, one of which compelled them to embrace the Islamic Republic of Iran much more closely.

Just about every one of their regulars spent some time smoking rope when younger, and use “adult” enhancements for their amplification of “thinking process”.
They are not dumb. They are well educated and quite intellingent.
