And then ....... everyone finds out Clinton got over twice as many votes of Trump in His home state....
Trump Vote Total: 518,601
Clinton Vote Total: 1,037,344
.
DefeaTED
at least people were allowed to vote in this election
That is why Ted lost
And then the children woke up and realized she wasn’t running against Trump.
Kids! Breakfast is ready...
Bitter much?
How does 3rd place taste?
the democrats have a plurality of voters in NYS over the republicans. this was a closed primary. thus the numbers. crossover voting was not allowed. notice you didn’t mention Trump got a much higher % than Clinton. nice try.
If Hillary is the nominee (a big if) then she should easily beat Trump unless she does something stupid.
So much for the “but Trump can win N.Y. in the general.
Ah well.
Jedi.
There are nearly 6 million registered democrats in NY. That's a whole lot of democrats that didn't vote for her. I don't know if Trump will win NY in the general but it WILL be in play.
When was the last time New York voted for ‘Pubbie president in the General anyway?
The only states that really count are the ‘Swing’ States like Ohio. Who can win those for the ‘Pubbies?
1) She is a senator, he has never run for any state office
2) she is running against 1 guy. He is is running against 2 GOP backed spoilers plus his own party, the democrats, the entire media, George Soros, the UN and the Pope
3) NY has 5.8 million registered democrats, 2.8 million registered republicans
4) Romney got 103,000 votes in the 2012 primary with no significant GOP opponent and the backing of his entire party. Trump bested that by 400,000 votes. .
I didn't know that Trump was running against Clinton in the Democrat primary.
And she got 10x as many votes as Ted. Ted’s pathetic, a truly weak candidate. New Q poll out of CT has him in last again way behind Kasich. Trump will break 50% there too. Has any candidate ever had more 3rd place and dead last finishes and still thought themselves a viable candidate? Cruz is one of the worst candidates to ever run for president. Arrogant and delusional. He’s done.
You should stop following politics until you learn the full voting democgraphics. New York State has five million registered Democrats, three & one half million registered, Repubicans, three & one half million registered independents and five hundred thousand registered Conservatives. Many Democrats will now re-register as Republicans or Independents and vote for DJT in the general election.
I am predicting that Trump will carry New York, Florida, Texas, Ohio, Michigan Pennsyvania, & maybe even California in the general election running against Hillary Clinton. And......Trump will win the POTUS election in a massive landslide!!! End of story!!! Hate to tell ya this....but Ted Cruz & John Kasich are political toast!!! Get real or, dream on. Go Donald J. Trump!!!
And how many registered R’s are in NY? How many Independants, etc?
The NY rules meant that Dems had to vote in their own primary, instead of jumping over to vote against Trump.
1. Independents aren’t allowed to vote in NY.
2. Crossover voting is not permitted.
3. New voters energized within the last month have missed the registration deadlines.
4. It was a primary and not a general election.
Assuming that Clinton’s primary numbers reflect the results of the general ignores the population of New York which is 20 million. Yesterday’s primary brought out about 1.6 million between Clinton and Trump and another million, perhaps, for all the others. So 2.5 million of NY’s eligible population of about 15 million voted and in 2012 it was a total of 7 million votes between Obama and Romney.
The final vote count having double the democrats was rather sad. That indicates the fantasy that New York state could be competitive is and was wrong.
That said new York was a closed primary and reflects the view of a lot of the Northeast as far as which issues are important to voters, not the party apparatus of their dupes in the press and radio.
I do not think it was Ted Cruz’s comment about New York Values that did him in. Folks here in the Northeast have fairly thick skins.
The simple fact is in NY, PA,CT, NJ , and likely DE the big issues are:
Importation of low cost labor to drive down wages:
Exporting of all manufacturing and value added jobs.
Slow destruction of traditional American values by a politically correct/leftist ideology
Complete lack of any border enforcement and mass of illegals.
Complete level of corruption by the uni-party; for 3 decades on the above issues the two parties agree, common folks could not vote against any of the above.
Voters here, after a long primary season going back to the fall of 2015 have decided Trump is the best candidate, of the ones remaining, to affect change in those areas.
I think that will be a lot clearer on the 26th, when another 5 states here vote.
Great Ted strategy.
Start with “I got the Solid South! My bedrock of my campaign”
That all goes to hell Super Tuesday so it’s on to Utah, Beck, religion and flirting with the GOPe (Neil S&L Bush), GOP leadership, etc.
Then came Colorado and Wyoming. They stacked the rules (probably for Jeb), but Ted picks up the standard and charges (in the night) and gets him some delegates (his new word for ‘voters’)
Now, it’s “NY don’t mean sh!t) - I’ll steal some more delegates, ones that Trump got already and make it up”
Next comes the 5 more states next week where who knows what his excuse and strategy will be because his out of the 1st ballot race with his NY disaster now.
His excuses run out with California right before the primary and he ain’t polling 1st there now. I’m thinking he’s gonna have to pick up the bar and do a LOT more changing - like going full-bore amnesty to get that Hispanic vote in Kallie.....
And then ....... everyone finds out Clinton got over twice
as many votes of Trump in His home state....
*****************
And then go to Texas and find out that Edward couldn’t even
get but 43.8% in his primary. The key is to win.......
