The temporary alliance between Senator Ted Cruz and Gov. John Kasich of Ohio, formed to deny Donald J. Trump the Republican presidential nomination, was already fraying almost to the point of irrelevance on Monday, only hours after it was announced to great fanfare.
---------------------Mr. Cruz trumpeted what he called the big news in Indiana, a state that appears pivotal to stopping Mr. Trump from winning a majority of delegates. John Kasich has decided to pull out of Indiana to give us a head-to-head contest with Donald Trump, he said.
-------------------But at his own campaign stop in Philadelphia on Monday, Mr. Kasich tamped down Mr. Cruzs triumphalism. Voters in Indiana, Mr. Kasich said, ought to vote for me, even if he would not be campaigning publicly there. He added, I dont see this as any big deal.
-------------------------------------
Even in Indiana, emerging as the most important state, the Cruz-Kasich pact appeared something less than decisive. While Mr. Kasichs campaign canceled his public appearances in the state, the governor was still slated to visit Indianapolis on Tuesday for a fund-raising event at the Columbia Club. And he still had meetings scheduled with a series of Indiana Republicans, including Gov. Mike Pence, according to a leading Republican in the state.
Mr. Cruzs campaign privately advised supporters on Sunday not to endorse tactical voting, whereby his supporters might switch their allegiance to Mr. Kasich in states where the Ohio governor is running stronger against Mr. Trump. We never tell voters who to vote for, read the suggested Cruz talking point. Were simply letting folks know where we will be focusing our time and resources.

Even if all the trump people voted for cruz he’d still lose in the general.
Cruz has ZERO crossover appeal. ZERO!!!
Thats why cruz-bots argument that he’d perform better against hillary
than trump would are so insane. Are cruz-bots so blinded by their love
of their guy that they don’t see this obvious fact?
I think Trump just WON.
Yeah, this is it.
Thank you, Mr. Grey Whiskers! I had a stromboli earlier and it ain’t behaving.
But then, we elected a game show host for President in 2008 didn't we?
Can’t run a collusion, can’t run the country
The gang that couldn’t shoot straight.
“hed still lose in the general...ZERO crossover appeal”
I’ve been saying this for a month or more, Cruz will not win the state of Florida, home of “squishy R’s and Indies and the crossovers he would need.
Without FL (29) you lose; It’s that simple.
I hope it collapses sooner rather than later and that voters will show they have more sense than to let these two jerks keep them from voting for Trump.
These clowns should worry about beating Hillary, not Trump. Idiots.
That is exactly right....There are many Sanders supporters that hate Hillary almost as much as we do...A lot will crossover also...
Thanks an awesome picture, thanks for posting that. I’m gonna share it around, really nice photoshop work too.
“The fair-minded Cruzers have given up on him already. All that remains are the dead enders.”
Also known as the “little enders” from Gullivers Travels. :)
“should worry about beating Hillary”
Ted Cruz and his Super Pacs have spent $122 million already, mostly anti-Trump. What a shame!
“...voters will show they have more sense than to let these two jerks keep them from voting for Trump”
LOL
Thanks, now all I can picture is these two “jerks” as SNL’s Two Wild and Crazy Guys - Steve Martin and Akroyd.
Wish I knew how to photoshop.
I didn’t make it but I’m glad you like it and thanks for sharing it around! 8^)
Reminds of that Show that used to be on the Food Network, Man versus Food.
It really too bad. I think a lot of people like Cruz, but just Trump better. But Cruz’s squabbling might just be the beginning of the end of his political prowess.
If Cruz is holding hands with Kasich...and talking Fiorino as VP...yeah, I can see why there might be problems with the bromance.
