Not going to happen. Cruz is finished.
His presence in the US, where he doesn't belong, is unnerving. Send him back to Alberta.
Cruz's vile senseless attacks on Trump were an indication of a disturbed mentality.....that of a back-stabber and hater. We don't want him in our political system.
His entire sore loser campaign consisted of urinating in other candidate's punch bowls.
Ya smoking far too much reefer, friend!!!
If that happens, he loses spectacularly to Hillary in November
And called a basketball hoop a ring in Indiana......
You make a good point but not against what I wrote.
My comment was in regard to primaries where the candidates are on a ballot. It does not matter that a person on the ballot does not have a chance, they do represent some of the voters, and those voters should be allowed the opportunity to make their choice known. So their votes are not “wasted” as they are a reminder to the winner they do not have the support of everyone.
Yep....that seems about right......because he comes in THIRD place in so many states....
I’ve been voting since 1972. This is by far the most entertaining election I have ever witnessed.
I understand your original point (with which I agree). I just wanted to keep what’s been happening with the establishment Republicans throughout this whole mess to the forefront.
The common citizens aligned with whatever party deserve some clear, convenient venue in which to make their choice known, whatever it is. Yet, this is not what we’re faced with in quite a few states. It has gone from the “Rule of Law” to the “Rule of Rules” and like it or lump it.
If they do stay in the race, and I’m sure they will, it shows beyond doubt they are just establishment shills. If they were “their own man”, they would consider their own personal dignity, authenticity and commitment to “the cause”. If either were to drop out today, it would help preserve a tidbit of those things that make a man great, and they could continue in their respective venues fighting for conservative causes and the American Way... if not, they will end up on the ash heap of political self aggrandized ambitions, and that is one stinking heap!
I fully understand.
As a Republican living in California I don’t think my vote has mattered in primaries for years. The nominee has usually been selected well before they are presented to California voters.
We assume the process was designed to select the best candidate, one who represent the party’s members.
Once again Trump has done us all a favor by exposing the real reason the primaries are set up the way they are, and that is to give the GOPe a way to manipulate the selection process.
I am so disgusted with them all I am leaving the Republican party after the California Primaries.
This will be where Cruz will be spending his "third ballot", in his imagination, outside the convention center.
As I have correctly stated, so many times....a vote cast for either,
Ted Cruz or John Kasich is a wasted and thrown away vote.

Nope, that is what primaries are for to let the people express the personal preferences.
In the general election I’d agree with your statement as the objective is defeat the democrat
and the pubbie would be the only one with a reasonable chance to do that.
ROTFL! That would be priceless!
However you feel your impact of your vote as one of the last voting states in the nation have been in the past, take note that it is going to take your vote and the other votes in California to convince these second/third ballot zealots that they are done monkeying around with rules and discarding voter VOTES willy nilly.
I gave up “republican” party identification a while back. Until this season I was content to consider myself “conservative”. But lately, I’m not even “conservative” is the catch-all description of me if it involves having to accept conservatism idealized by a faction that jumps into bed with establishment Republicanism at the drop of a hat.
At the convention Cruz wins on third ballot.

Are you perhaps referring to the 2014 GOP Convention?
I agree completely! And thanks to people like Jim Quinn and Rose Tennent - both broadcasting out of Pittsburgh, the word got out and voters were informed as to the identities of the committed and uncommitted delegates.
I can’t vote for him, Missouri... a couple years back when I didn’t know him all that well, I was pretty much backing him if he ran... but I gotta tell ya, the more I see of him the less I like him. Back when it looked as if he was taking a stand in the senate, all he was doing was feathering his nest for HIS presidential run.
I think his dad filled his head with too much, “You could be Messianic my son”. He talks like he’s still on debate team, that is so old. People like Trump because he’s authentic... I can’t say I agree with his antics, flip flops and positions, but he is growing into something I can support. My brother is a Baptist Pastor, he sees Trump as an evil man because of his history of loose living... but even that is changing. I told him that Trump will have to moderate some of his loose moral behaviors to retain the evangelical vote, and may wind up being Reaganesque before all is said and done. I have very little hope for America, but who knows, Trump may stave off the barbarians a bit longer...just ramblin...
I’m sorry to say that I’m with you on that point. As the “principled, consistent conservative”, his alliance with Kasuck really pissed me off. Despite the fact that, on key policy issues, they had almost nothing in common, he chose to ally with Kasuck. Not as principled or conservative as he’d have us believe...
I think we agree on many things.
I have had my CONSERVATIVE CARD revoked by true conservatives because I was not PURE enough.
So I too no longer refer to myself as a conservative.
