If Boehner had any wisdom he would not attack Cruz or any other Republican Party member.

Ted managed it all by himself. Some of his actions and words on the Senate floor (and about the rest) were designed to cut them deeply and it did - they reacted as they are predisposed to react - with spite and antipathy.

Funny how he does so much of that "unhelpful rhetoric" on the Senate floor then tries to berate Trump for speaking the simple fact that Islam hates us.......

This whole affair needs to end — just another Leftist self-congratulatory confab and an opportunity to take cheap shots at conservatives & traditional virtues. The president of the association just took a gratuitous punch at the Roman Catholic Church. If a ‘Pub becomes POTUS, he should politely decline to go.

I agree, but we both know it'll never happen. The WHCA Dinner / "Nerd Prom" will go on forever, as long as there are TV / internet cameras.

I watched the entire disgusting thing on C-SPAN last night. That Wilmore "comedian" was beyond despicable. So was CNN's Don Lemon giving Wilmore the finger. And of course our "president" enjoyed the whole thing. He didn't seem to have a problem with any of it, and even laughed at being called the N-word by Wilmore. Unbelievable.

No need to apologize, FRiends! You and the DC Chapter have proudly stood up against the leftist media outside these WHCA Dinners for years and years (often in cold and pouring rain, too). It's difficult to do so many years in a row, I'm sure. Especially for some of you who no longer live in the DC area.

It was such an honor for 'zelig' and I to join you a couple of times at this fun, yet very important FReep. Of course so many of us often think of the great Doctor Raoul while watching the WHCA Dinner. He was priceless.

Meant to add this to my previous post to you: I saw the entire Red Carpet event (at least what C-SPAN presented on TV). Teresa Heinz Kerry could barely walk alongside her poodle John Kerry. She had to hold onto him tightly, and there was a young guy on her other side kind of holding her up, making sure she didn’t fall. I felt bad for her.
