President Obama may visit Hiroshima when he travels to Japan late this month for a summit of key industrialized nations, but he will not apologize for the World War II decision to destroy that city with an atomic bomb, the White House said Monday.

Asked by Yahoo News whether Obama believes Japan deserves a formal apology for the August 6, 1945, bombing, White House press secretary Josh Earnest replied: “No, he does not.” …

Wasn't that just about exactly how Obama's press secretary responded to questions about whether Obama supported gay marriage? Until, of course, Obama decided that it was safe to stop lying about it.

Obama will do something disgusting and un-American while in Japan. He might apologize for Hiroshima or anything. Don’t believe anything from the White House.

Were I Prez, I’d tell the Japs they had it coming, and to get over it already. I would keep the ‘You want it again?’ card in my vest pocket, though.

Any chance Godzilla will make an appearance during this trip? After all, it’s been a while....

Why should he apologize now? Back in 2009 when he visited Japan his plan was to apologize for the bombing but Japan officials declined the offer for reasons I don’t have time to post.

Nah..!

They can marry, Korans are sold, Muzzies can apply for government jobs and people can use Arabic.

It’s just that it’s VERY hard for them to find places to rent or buy, places that will employ them, and people to sponsor them. It’s hard for them to sign up for credit cards and in actual practice very few companies if any will sell them insurance.

Also if you go around in flowing robes or other observant headgear and whatnot, most people will not actively seek out to become your friend, confide in you and trust you. They will generally not want to do business with you unless there was some hideously high, quick profit at stake.

All the barriers to foreigners are almost all informal, not written down, and they are higher for Muzzies, and more generally for people who are darker, don’t make much money.

There is a general western tendency to want to believe that the barriers are legally codified and they aren’t.

And THAT is why they are so utterly difficult to challenge.

I really think that Japan and Korea are psychologically ARMED TO THE HILT against Islam.

EVERY country on Earth could fall to Islam, and those two would remain at the very end —the xenophobia is deeeeeeeep and strangely, many times it is also POLITE, which seems like a contradiction in terms.

And they’re Asian, part of that inconvenient demographic that raises the academic curve for his real constituents. I’m pretty sure that in Obama’s world, whites, Jews, and Asians are “not-good” and Hispanics, Arabs, and blacks are “double-plus good.”

The key word is “formal.”
Obama will be bowing and scraping and kissing butt in his own unique way.
The Japanese will get his apologetic message loud and clear.
