GREENSBORO — North Carolina’s two U.S. senators on Saturday called on Republicans to unite behind Donald Trump – but they had little to say about the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.

Sen. Thom Tillis and Sen. Richard Burr spoke to the state Republican convention Saturday morning, offering pep talks for the coming campaigns.

Tillis’ speech didn’t mention Trump by name, but he made his views clear on the Republican leaders who say they won’t support the nominee’s campaign.

“Anybody who doesn’t support the Republican nominee ... is a RINO,” Tillis said, referring to the acronym “Republican In Name Only.”

They say they will support Trump, let’s see how they do it. Frankly I don’t have much faith in either of them.

So it seems. It will be interesting to see if they campaign with him or for him. And then there is the vote in Nov, lip service until then and a vote for someone else, who’s going to know? I hope I am just being too pessimistic.

Should they be allowed to support Trump?

Seems to me that there is a trend breaking in Trump's favor. First I hear that Trump is beating Hillary on the economy by 5 to 25% and now the endorsements and the Mike-Pence-like endorsements are snowballing in.

When confronted by a 10,000 HP bulldozer, one can either get on board or play "Rachel Corrie".....

This is a very big blow to the NEVERTRUMP quislings. Both of these guys are card carrying establishment Republicans. “Speaker PAUL CANTOR please call your office.”
