Germany expects up to 100,000 undocumented migrants to leave the country in 2016, a number Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere Wednesday hailed as high but insufficient after last year's record influx.
"If the current trend continues then we will reach a total of between 90,000 and 100,000 deportations and voluntary returns," de Maiziere told reporters.
"That is good but not good enough. That is why we must continue to work to ensure that those who must leave our country actually do so."
Between January and April of this year, some 20,000 foreign nationals without permission to stay in Germany returned to their countries of origin voluntarily under government programmes.
Those totals marked a strong increase from 2015, when 37,220 returns were recorded during the year as a whole, and 13,574 in 2014.

This coalition between the center-left (SPD) and center-right (CDU, Merkel’s Party)....had over the decades since WW II gotten a combined 65 to 80 percent of the national vote. If you look at polling today...it has slide down to around 50-percent, and most expect it to be around 40-percent between the two when the election comes in 16 months.
As for why nothing has reacted remove her...the Bundestag is made up of six total parties, and five of them (roughly 92-percent of the 2013 election vote) are pro-immigration. These five parties have hinged their entire success and daily chit-chat on pro-immigration. Even from the Linke Party (former communist party)...it’s membership has almost begged for their representatives to take an anti-immigration position, and it’s been iron-clad tied to Merkel’s strategy. Even they are losing numbers on a monthly basis.
The idea that the state-run news media could influence the public and shift everyone back around to the Merkel position? Instead, it’s around sixty to seventy position of the nation now that considers the state-run news folks to be liars and deceivers....their future and tax-revenue gimmick are all called into question now.
Are they going to haul out the bulldozers to help accomplish the job?

Great, they get rid of 100,000. But how many will come in during that period? Will there be a net gain or loss in the numbers of illegals after they get rid of the 100,000?
