In 1980 Anderson got six percent so yes, it is possible. I can see him getting a lot of protest votes in some states as the campaign begins to emphasize the faults of two very flawed individuals. That said, I want Trump appointing the USSC members.

I believe Reid was re-elected because his opponent was “controversial”. I don’t understand how anyone could vote FOR someone like Hillary because her opponent is controversial. Bu that’s the way it is.

Exactly what I've been saying about Trump all along and got invited off this board. He apparently has an endless supply of feet to put in his mouth. I understand the appeal of his straight forward talk rather than mincing words like most politicians while promising the world. However, it seems like every week he espouses a controversial position without elaborating as to why his position is best. Trump, "There's my African-American over there". We all knew what his point was, but his off-the-cuff remark was just stupid.
Trump (who I will vote for over Hillary) needs to stop giving the MSM and Hillary the soundbites regarding racism, womanizing, calling illegal aliens rapists and murderers (which many are). Trump needs a campaign manager and/or coach that can educate him in the skill of articulation and soundbites.
I posted an article recently, "The End Game for the American Republic". Some mis-understood my theme and jumped quickly on me. A few understood my point where I stipulated it is long past due to compare and contrast free-enterprise with Fedgov interference vs outright Fedgov socialism. If Trump would only learned to articulate the capitalist benefits that created the greatest nation on Earth (with countless nations copying our example), and how socialism has ALWAYS failed then he may have a chance in the debates with the socialist Hillary. The Witch is good as I've stated and I fear that Trump won't have the chops to counter, other than generalities.
He could start with Venezuela and go backwards. Lists and graphics could bring his point home to the independents; the brain-washed students; maybe even some "gimmedats" regarding jobs . Remember Perot with his graphics? It made him a contender until he dropped out.
I fear this is our last chance to make America Great Again. Hillary says, "He wants to turn back to bad times". No, he wants to turn back to when America was respected and feared in the World; people were expected to make their own way; Fedgov was not the solution, but the problem; values were good things; racism was almost over until Obama.
I believe Trump is sincere, but he needs better people to educate him on how to let the US and the World know the USA will once again be a dynamic Ally in the fight against Isalmists and others, amongst other issues. Hopefully, with firing his campaign manager, he will find such a person. I can only hope...
Meh, 40% of people vote Dem, and 40% vote Republican. That's the way it is, plus or minus a couple of points. Figure even Mondale got a little over 40% in 1984, in a massive election blowout against Reagan.
I still don't put much faith in this poll, as it puts Libertarians at 10%, which IMO would only happen if Trump and Hillary! decide to run together on a "Co-Presidency" ticket. Then, all bets are off.

Bingo. He was the only one on-message. Dems - particularly BO and Hillary! - blamed Orlando on everything EXCEPT the guy who pulled the trigger. There are times when mealy-mouthed excuses and half-apologies just won't cut it, even with people who desperately want to believe them.
So, Trump said, "Hey, you don't come into our house and slap us around, and expect to get away with it. You know that wall I want to put up? It keeps out plenty of other undesirables along with the illegals."
Barring a major screw up (still a good possibility with the GoPe) ... I think that Orlando won Trump the election.

That's a good point, and one that needs to be reiterated.
BO had a unique opportunity, and could have been a racially transcendent president if at his inauguration speech (or thereabouts) he said, "Let me be perfectly clear. America has had its problems racially in the past, and there is still work to be done, but I'm standing here as Proof Positive that we can overcome our differences and..." etc etc etc. I'll never like his politics, but he had an easy chance to achieve something big.
But no. Instead, he fell back on all of the usual racial tropes. Remember how "The Police Acted Stupidly"? And who could forget, "We Won. Deal with it." He's a small person, playing petty politics, likely because that's all he (and his advisors) understand.
BO has set race relations in this country back a generation, if not more.
