BALTIMORE — A judge here is set on Thursday morning to deliver the verdict in the murder trial of the police officer who drove the van in which Freddie Gray is believed to have sustained the spinal cord injury that killed him.

The officer, Caesar R. Goodson Jr., faces seven charges, including one count of second-degree “depraved heart” murder and three counts of manslaughter, in the highest-profile trial of any of the six officers charged in connection with Mr. Gray’s death.

The ruling by Judge Barry G. Williams of Baltimore City Circuit Court will be a crucial moment for a sprawling prosecution that has so far failed to deliver a conviction.

Will they proceed to #4?

They shouldn't this was the case that sets not guilty precedent now for all remaining cases.

Freddie’s plan, fake an injury from the Man.

Like the 3 Black girls at State University of Albany faked a racial attack......

I'm uncertain what they expect, but I expect civil unrest similar to last summer. I also expect some type of civil action against Marilyn J. Mosby for total incompetence in this case.

Kudos to the defense teams for deciding to waive jury trials.

I’m sure he will. He can’t resist when there is any chance to sow discord among Americans.

You got to note, however, Freddie if so gave his life for it.

It’ll probably be moot when it comes to the civil suit though. Maryland won’t even challenge it, it will be sir, sir, sir what do you want to settle for.

It could be said in all fairness that they can not know what a drug-affected prisoner will do under exactly how much free will or delirious absence thereof, and have every prudential reason to err on the side of caution. But the civil suit probably won’t ever be argued, it will probably just settle, proving nothing.

Just taking advantage of today's 100% sales.

Sometimes known as "going out of business" sales.
