MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) -- A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle at the gate of a Mogadishu hotel, followed by a second explosion heard inside the hotel as gunmen fought their way inside, police said Saturday. At least four bodies were seen outside the hotel, one officer said.

When my husband, mother and I were in Kenya there were ALWAYS Somali refugees, mostly women and children, straggling into Kenya's northeastern borders. They were pitiful. I saw what the look of "hopeless" was. PITIFUL.

That is an interesting question...why is that country one of the dregs of the earth rather than a prosperous and desirable place to live? Yes, their "religion" has a lot to do with it but other non-muslim countries have similar advantages but are also unsuccessful.
