It makes southeast Asia, China, Libya and the rest of the third world sewers look good.
When my husband, mother and I were in Kenya there were ALWAYS Somali refugees, mostly women and children, straggling into Kenya's northeastern borders. They were pitiful. I saw what the look of "hopeless" was. PITIFUL.

They are an old country and people but have seemed to experience nothing but trouble. Their fate wouldn't be much different no matter WHO was in charge or WHICH faith they had. But that's an opinion.
