As conspiracy theorists would have it, the biggest project that director Stanley Kubrick helmed is the Apollo 11 moon landing of 1969.
For decades, fringe groups have held that the U.S government hired Kubrick to shoot the “fake moon landing.” Now, as NASA’s Juno probe is expected to reach Jupiter this week, Kubrick’s daughter, Vivian, took to Twitter stating “this feels like the right time to respond.”
“There are many, very real conspiracies that have happened throughout our history,” Vivian Kubrick wrote. “But, claims that the moon landings were faked and filmed by my father? I just can’t understand it!!?”(snip)
She added, “… the so called ‘truth’ these malicious cranks persist in forwarding – that my father conspired with the US Government to ‘fake the moon landings’ – is manifestly A GROTESQUE LIE.”

I agree, we landed on the Moon.
Still, if one wanted to stoke a conspiracy, including the Apollo 11 shirt in “The Shining” would be the way to go.

I’m sure they’ve done studies on the kinds of people and the kinds of mentality for really WANTING to believe everything is a conspiracy including JFK’s assassination, the moon landing, and sooner or later the Holocaust. Goofy.
Actually, it is the Brits who buy into this conspiracy much more than Americans. The stats are remarkable.
It is amazing how much traction the Moon-Landings-Were-Faked theories have gained.
These grassy-knollers are subversives who have no understanding of how history is verified or debunked.
Professional boxing is vulnerable to having some “fixed” matches because only one man has to be bribed to take a “dive”. It becomes more difficult with team sports and the truth came out in the 1919 World Series although some of the “Black Sox” were playing hard and clean.
NASA is a huge organization. My own uncle, an MIT graduate, was a top launch engineer for the Apollo missions. One would have to get much of Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Houston, and key people in many locations to be able to fake such an event as the multiple moon landings.
Kubrick did, however help the Beatles when Paul McCartney died unexpectedly in a car crash.

But but but if you add the numbers of room 237 up and subtract one you get a clear indication that Kubrick was telling us that he filmed the Apollo Eleven Landing and/or BadgeMan from the Grassy Knoll...

At the Hubble Space Telescope's maximum resolution, each pixel is about 200 feet across when projected on the surface of the moon. The largest feature of any of the Apollo landing areas is about one-fifteenth of that.
The pictures you're probably thinking of were acquired by a camera on the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, which is in a very eccentric orbit around the moon; at its lowest point, the LRO swoops down to within 12 miles of the lunar surface.
