WaPo: The continuing political decline of Hillary Clinton (she's dropping like a rock in the polls)
Washington Post ^ | July 18, 2016 | Aaron Blake

Posted on 07/19/2016 6:19:44 AM PDT by Zakeet

If it weren't for Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton would be the most disliked major-party presidential nominee in recent American history.

That qualifier, of course, is important here. Clinton doesn't need to be liked; she needs to be liked slightly more than Trump in what will very likely boil down to a two-candidate race.

But it's hard to overstate just how bad Clinton's numbers are. And a new Washington Post-ABC News poll is the latest to suggest they just keep getting worse — so much so that they are in some ways about as bad as Trump's.

The poll shows 54 percent of all Americans have an unfavorable view of Clinton and 44 percent have a "strongly unfavorable" view of her. When you boil it down just to registered voters, those numbers tick up to 57 percent and 47 percent, respectively.

Either way you slice it, Clinton's image is as bad or worse than it has ever been.

[Snip]

But while Trump has certainly struggled, he seems to have leveled off and maybe even improved a bit in recent months.

Clinton, meanwhile, is trending worse and worse and flirting with Trumpian levels of negative feelings.

For some reason, the peasants are having negative feelings about the drunken, old, sick, bisexual, amoral, corrupt, wicked libtard's manifest destiny!

These liberal news mavens love to cite the “polls” - but there’s only one poll that counts, and it comes in November.

Barring massive voter fraud, Trump is a lock for that one.

typical WAPO ~ a story about Clinton poll numbers dropping starts with an insult directed at Trump!

After the Dem convention the mime will be the comeback kid ... happens every election. They will have poll after poll showing her increased momentum ...

... until the debates ...

Then the MSM will not be able to save her ...

Oh come on she is barely bisexual. She’s 99% lesbian. I hate to see you hurt Huma’s feelings that way.

I really look foreward to the political demise and Indictment of Hillary Clinton on all of the Bribary and violations of national security she’s been involved with.

I just hope a clean justice Department investigation will put her behind bars for the rest of her life.

Barring massive voter fraud,

It won't be barred. Not by a longshot.

There will be no debates.

She would have to be absolutely insane to get on the same stage with Trump.

Never gonna happen. Come January 19 she and all the other members of Obama's band of miscreants are all getting pardons.

It is counterproductive to report on Hillary’s declining numbers and to take it to heart.

First, it has the potential of mobilizing the Dems to vote.

Second, it has the potential to make the Trump supporters somewhat complacent.

Don’t forget Hillary has the dead vote, the illegal vote, the multiple vote, and with the cooperation from the current administration, can once again ‘lose’ the military absentee ballots somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean.

“There will be no debates.

The hubris may get her. She actually thinks she is inspiring.

That is a sycophant induced delusion.

If Herself is losing the Washington Post, then the prospects are bleak indeed.

Perhaps it is time for the various physical infirmities to be publicly acknowledged, and allow Herself to “gracefully” bow out, for “health reasons”.

And go into immediate exile, but where would Herself be “safe” anywhere in the world?

She doesn’t want to have to debate Trump, but if she doesn’t, he is smart enough to hammer her with her avoidance, hinting she has even more to hide than has already been revealed. This is going to be very interesting.
The smartest woman in the world has boxed herself in.

Right...i believe the part about Hillary dropping...but not the part about trump

You cant go anywhere without the media taking full broadsides at Trump...or do like Fox does...take little swipes and portray something as given wisdom on Trump when its not.

Hillary is dreading her own convention...when they will trot out all kinda also rans and probably unwilling speakers who are afraid of being thought of as ‘guilt by association’

Then the will be the 1st guy Bill Clinton compared to Melania Trump. Pity the tag team of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Then comes the election, she is not looking forward to any part of that. She has sooooooooo many vulnerabilites now and those that Trump will create.

Nice try Jeff Bezo

“If it weren’t for Ted Cruz, Hillary Clinton would be the most disliked major-party presidential nominee ...”

“If it weren’t for Jeb Bush, Hillary Clinton would be the most disliked major-party presidential nominee ...”

“If it weren’t for Any other dupe that thought the media would love them after the GOP convention, Hillary Clinton would be the most disliked major-party presidential nominee ...”

Forget about it. The media was never going to be fair to any GOP nominee. We need to just let it go
