Donald Trump has claimed that the European Union was created to “beat the United States when it comes to making money” in an interview with NBC News.
Speaking to Chuck Todd, whom the Republican nominee has repeatedly berated as “sleepy-eyed”, Trump also said of the EU “the reason that it got together was like a consortium so that it could compete with the United States”.
The European Union was founded as the European Coal and Steel Community in 1952 in an effort to promote strong cross-border ties in Europe and avoid future wars. It has since evolved to a customs union and eventually to the transnational entity devoted to removing internal trade barriers, building a common market and a fiscal union. Its development and growth has been repeatedly supported by the United States under presidents of both parties.
Trump’s anti-European statements come after the Republican nominee repeatedly praised Brexit, the vote by the United Kingdom to leave the European Union, including in a press conference in the day after the referendum held at a Trump golf course in Scotland.
In the interview, Trump defended his recent attacks on Nato, saying that countries in the organization needed to pay more to the United States in order for Washington to meet its treaty obligations of mutual defense. In doing so, Trump called Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell “100% wrong” for rebutting his comments earlier this week. The Kentucky senator told Politico: “Nato is the most important military alliance in world history. I want to reassure our Nato allies that if any of them get attacked, we’ll be there to defend them.”
Trump also called both the World Trade Organization and Nafta “disasters”.

I believe it was created out of desperation, the tin pot dictator puppets put in place squandered what ever money they had where on the balls of thier a##es and they figured lets all huddle together so if one of us goes down the others will either go down with us or prop us up. A globalist experiment it is.
CHuck Todd is not merely an NBC churnalist for the DNC, he is the “Political Director” for both NBC and MSNBC. So when Debbie Wasserman-Schultz goes to him about Mika, she is laying down the law for the whole NBC organization.
The fact that she imagines even for a moment that she can do this is incredibly revealing about the role of these MSM entities in propagating the DNC/Hillary line while pretending to do journalism.
Then I knew things were rigged as the money changers rigged the value. The Euro started out as being worth about 80 cents (US Dollar). In a very short time, the Euro was worth about $1.40. Then to nearly $1.60. Double the "value." And nothing justified this massive change.
Financial types tried to spin things, but it was obvious it was a scam and a lie.
The elites and globalists had their new toy, and they went wild with it.

The EU started out as a simple “trade deal,” and we all know what happened from there.
Now we have a TPP, another trade deal only this time, we do not have sovereign authority. “They” make the rules. Completely unConstitutional. Very EU like. No borders. No of the people, by the people, for the people say in the matter.
This is why TPP is so dangerous for our country. Trump knows what he’s talking about. This is why the Globalists on all sides are working so hard to take him out.
The division is between Globalists and We The People, not an R vs D. Globalists have come out of the woodwork this election. They’ve exposed themselves. Just one big happy bunch @ the top selling out our nation. Oligarchy. Sedition. Treason.
Vote Trump! Keep our sovereign nation intact.
Now they have to worry about how much more Wikileaks is still holding. If they reply too soon, they stand the risk of that reply being knocked down by additional releases.

Very true; it was formed to bite the hand that fed them and kept them alive after we had to save them a second time in twenty yr=ears. They woke one morning, declared themselves equal to us and thought that was enough.
Last year when I supported Cruz, I couldn’t figure out why Cruz, the warrior defender of the Constitution, helped make TPP and TPA happen. Then I read about his wife’s activities at the cfr. She’s helping author the plan to create the American version of the EU! It’s not hard to see how we were being suckered.

It reminds me of the failed communes the hippies tried in the '60s - promises of everyone profiting from everyone else and then the reality that so many were bringing deficits. Sold as a dream and turns out to be a nightmare with an eventual dictator at the top.
After the fall of the USSR there was only one super power - the USA. Clinton and Albright played an active role in forming the EU to be a second and competing super power to challenge the USA. Albright actually alluded to that fact in her book. So Trump is right.
