Donald Trump has a knack for saying things that provide the Dems with a target-rich environment. He frames issues imprecisely, at least initially, gets bogged down in wild irrelevancies and ends up with his words twisted by spectacularly unscrupulous foes whose standard operating procedure seeks to blur important distinctions. Curiously, his most outrageous assertions often prove on analysis to be more right than wrong.
Let us take a close look one of the left's trademark bogus controversies:
At their convention, the Democrats trotted out the parents of a Muslim soldier killed in Iraq in 2004 to bash Trump's call for a temporary moratorium on immigration from areas infested with radical Islamists. What is the nexus between Trump's policy and the death of Humayun Khan? Why are the parents surfacing now to attack the character of the Republican nominee? Why are these obvious questions ignored?
Nobody disputes Khan's heroism or his honorable service to America. Not a hint of disrespect has been directed toward him or his family. On July 31, Trump tweeted: "Captain Khan, killed 12 years ago, was a hero, but this is about RADICAL ISLAMIC TERROR and the weakness of our 'leaders' to eradicate it."
A Muslim site reports that seven Muslims serving in the American military had been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq as of 2009. Their sacrifices demand full-throated praise from all patriotic Americans, but they represent less than one percent of all American battle deaths.
If Republicans were to borrow a page from the Democratic playbook, they would point out that Major Nidal Hasan murdered thirteen American soldiers in a paroxysm of what the Obama administration bizarrely called "workplace violence."

Gold star or not, as an American, I was offended as hell by the Muzzie Khan Man’s bull****. Especially when the lowlife shyster lawyer started wagging his finger and MY Constitution at me. He’s just a pile of gold star dog sh*t.
Khan should address his anger at Islam, which is responsible for the death of his son.
Honestly, no matter what Trump does or doesn’t do, the left is and was going to do just what they are doing to Trump, to any other person who would be the nominee.
It would be most helpful if people like the author of this piece just stuck up for and supported the candidate rather than the constant drone of know it all criticism. Trump has only been the victim of faked up polls and big mouth journalists.

Nope, not at all, and she is far more worthy of serious critique than Trump is.
Exactly. Muslims killed his son. Not Trump or the U.S. Constitution. Since Clintoon voted for the war, she had more to do with the death of his son than Trump did.
The dilemma Trump faces is how does he defeat Political Correctness if he gives into it yet, at the same time, how can he not give the media a target rich environment if he continues to speak the unvarnished truth.
I suggest the answer is, in part, that the GOP has to unify behind Trump and join the battle.
They had the opportunity to join Trump on the Khazr Khan kerfuffle but betrayed him stating as Newt did that Trump should not have picked a fight with Khan (Khan picked the fight, not Trump). Others have said that Gold Star Families are simply off limits.
If they are off limits, they shouldn't be trotted out by the DNC to join the fight. If they do join the fight, they void their "off limits" status.
Trump should offer an affirmative action policy targeted specifically at media/academia...then watch all the ‘rats twist in the wind about how racist that would be. Do it anyway.
Considering Kahn’s obvious deceit in being a Democrat operative, I’d first ask him what exactly about his son’s willing sacrifice in service to his country (with no respect to Kahn) is more important than the ordinary unarmed Americans who fell prey to the proponents of Kahn’s religion and had their lives stolen from them with no notice, warning or forethought about ‘danger.’
As far as I’m concerned, father Kahn is a skidmark on America’s dirty Muslim appeasing Democrat government underwear.

Since Wittgenstein-—and before-—the hard core Marxists have known that all they have to do is control the narrative (words) ALWAYS. Control all the headlines, adjectives, and repeat the Lies and it becomes the Truth.
Lies will control all the beliefs of the stupid who never seek truth (original sources or trusted proven authorities of history). Truth can never be put out in the pubic square. It has to be controlled and anyone who “knows” the truth and may just spill the beans (go off the plantation) will end up like a Vince Foster.
Truth will set us free-—but the sheeple have been so brainwashed with lies over and over and over—even in sit-coms and with Hollywoods revisionism and normalization of evil and puerility in our children—that the truth will always elude them.

If, if, if . . . the gold standard is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, across the board, not leaning heavily on showmanship glazing. Trump has been taking it rather lightly, and as a joke. He needs to read Rudyard Kipling's "IF" poem. And writers Simonizing his public image would well do to meditate on that also, IMHO.
