Ayotte can probably thank Trump for these results. He’s surging in NH (along with the rest of the country) and lifting GOP Senate candidates as well. Ohio is already in the bag for the Republicans; looks like Rob Portman will absolutely crush Ted Strickland. In Florida, Marco Rubio has opened a lead on Murphy and should cruise as well. And other GOP incumbents look much better now than they did a month or so ago, with the exception of Mark Kirk, the RINO from Illinois.

When the most recent Ohio poll was announced, members of the GOP-E media wing instantly began congratulating Portman for running a brilliant campaign. To be fair, Portman has run a very good re-election race, but there’s no doubt he’s benefitting from Trump’s rise as well.

I don’t know how much that will help with Trump. Plan on it: the Senate will be a bunch of a-hole obstructionists like they never were with Zero.

Trump will have to do everything through the back door or cellar door.

I think, particularly in Florida and Ohio, there may be "reciprocal" coattails. Where Trump is lifting the Senate candidates among some voters, and the Senate candidates are lifting Trump among other voters.

I am hoping the same happens in NH. Ayotte isn't my favorite Senator, to be sure, but if a strong performance by her helps Trump... I'm not going to throw it away.

Kirk in Illinois was a lost cause from the get-go, and it has nothing to do with Trump. He won that seat in an off-year election in a Republican wave. He was endangered from the instant he won.

Look at this pathetic attempt over at the National Review to whine about Trump somehow hurting GOP incumbent Senators by not leading as much as them in some of their states:

Every time I think that hive of Establishment whiners couldn’t sink any lower, they surprise me yet again.

So true! Jeb and RINO’s would have followed the usual play book and tried to not be “offensive.” Meanwhile HRC and her lapdog media would eviscerate them.

When Hillary had her medical episode, Jeb would have probably stopped campaigning as well until she recovered because, after all, it wouldn't be fair for him to be out on the campaign trail if she couldn't be and someone at the New York Times might say he is inconsiderate and anti-women.

Well, I cast a protest vote against her on Tuesday, but I will vote for her in November.

I’m not proud of it, I’m almost #NeverAyotte, but Hassan is unacceptable.

Sununu is Labanese Christian (maronite?).

Shaheen is an atheist, though she is an Arabist and Muslim sympathizer.

Ayotte, RINO that she is, is still an infinitely better choice.

The one bit of good news here is it might be a good indicator that NH is in play for Trump.

Agreed. Being #NeverAyotte is about as self-destructive at this point as being #NeverTrump.

In each case, we have two horses. Pick one.

She can’t be winning this big and Trump eventually loses New Hampshire.

Sadly, that’s probably true. I wish the Pubbies would be more like the Dems in the way they support WHOEVER is the nominee, in every elective office. You NEVER hear the Dems disparage another Dem (at least without hacked emails ), but when the GOPe is aggravated because their chosen person doesn’t win a nomination, the GOPe works WITH the Dems to defeat the person running under the R designation. Makes me want to throw up.

If this is truly a “realigning” election (and usually true realigments take about 3 electoral cycles), we would be fortunate to have the Rick Wilsons and the Jim Geraghtys and the Jonah Goldbergs and all the GOP people who signed that anti-Trump petition to get the hell out of the Republican Party and go where they are wanted, the Dems.

Ayotte is a useless RINO. But Hassan is a full blown communist.

We have lived in Southern, NH for a very long time.

Although Ayotte is a RINO, she is still infinitely better than Maggie HaSaaN (the proper Middle Eastern pronunciation of her husband's name).

Maggie HaSaaN has been an unmitigated disaster for the State of New Hampshire but more importantly is what has happened to Phillips Exeter Academy while her husband was president, in charge of the school:

1) Maggi's Husband, Mr. HaSaaN got the terrorist organization: "The Muslim Brotherhood" officially established and recognized as an approved "student club" ON CAMPUS!

2) Mr. HaSaaN got the academy's board of directors, along with the school's chaplain to UNANIMOUSLY APPROVE of PERMANENTLY REMOVING ALL REFERENCES TO CHRIST AND CHRISTIANITY FROM THE PHILLIPS EXETER ACADEMY CHAPEL WHICH, ALONG WITH THE ACADEMY ITSELF, WAS ORIGINALLY ESTABLISHED AND DEDICATED TO THE GLORY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AT ITS FOUNDATION.

3) Mr. HaSaaN got the academy's board of directors, along with the support of the schools chaplain to UNANIMOUSLY APPROVE OF ESTABLISHING A MUSLIM "PRAYER ROOM" ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE CHAPEL!

4) Mr. HaSaaN got the academy's board of directors to UNANIMOUSLY APPROVE OF HOMOSEXUALS SERVING AS ACADEMY "DORM "PARENTS"!

5) Mr. HaSaaN had the AVOWED COMMUNIST, Van Jones invited to Phillips Exeter Academy to address the entire faculty and student body!

Maggie Hasan apparently approves of ALL of her husband's above actions because she has never publically disavowed or staunchly rejected any of them. That alone totally disqualifies her from being elected.

That is one of the reasons Maggie Hasan is loosing so badly to Kelly Ayotte here in New Hampshire.

Any money the Republican Senate Campaign Committee has earmarked for Kirk should be pulled and reallocated. Ron Johnson in Wisconsin is now neck-and-neck with Feingold, and Joe Heck can seal the deal in Nevada. Ayotte is also surging ahead in NH. Meanwhile, Mark Kirk is toast, and anyone with half a political brain knows it. Better to spend the money on winnable races. Kirk can join the rest of the GOP-E on that long march to political oblivion after the election.

“Ayotte is RINO and pretty useless.”

Could have used her this evening.
