You too? I was out on the lake in my rowboat and accidentally hit another two rowboats. We all went out of control and before you know it, 57 boats sank with a loss of 102,438 guns. It was tragic. I forget what lake it happened on cause I hit my head when I got to shore.

Trump was pointing out Hillary’s obvious hypocrisy and elitist double standard coming from those who are protected by armed guards yet who would deny the rest of us the right to arm ourselves.
That is it - the idea being spun that “therefore Trump wants harm to come to Hillary” is a ridiculous straw man.
The leftist “interpretation” that Trump should be “hauled away” merely for pointing out hypocrisy is either leftist stupidity on display or failed spin.

I agree with you; we all know what he meant and it was not a threat. Nonetheless, the press uses remarks like this to twist and dominate the news and they will never explain the context in which they were made; this is a close race, he was on the uptick for two weeks and I guarantee you, the “media’ which is nothing more than the Clinton PR machine, will run wild with it. It serves to obfuscate her problems, shifts the focus to what they will call his “gaffes” and they will talk night and day about it; they weren’t getting traction on the birther (code name for them: racism) issue and this will create a loud diversion from Hillary’s problems. Wouldn’t you rather have the focus be on Trump’s trip to Little Haiti, his huge recent rallies and the trap he set for the press at the Trump Hotel?

I’ve related this incident on other gun threads:
One time, on one of the weekly Freeps at the WH, during Clinton times, we had posters about the 2nd amendment. A woman came by and was all a-huff about guns. I asked her if she felt safe where she was at that moment. She said yes. I then pointed out all those who were armed — the guards at the gate to the WH, the park police, the city police, AND the sniper on the WH roof. The woman just turned and walked away.
Trump is several points higher than the liberal polling outfits show. And the latest media BS meme here is beyond stupid. Relax. Trump highly likely will elucidate the dumb media today and expand on the obvious points that the media fails [lying] to see. Hillary should be back to sleep today. Cough. ZZzzzzzzz....

Is it that hard for some here to connect the last 2 weeks with his rise in the polls and him not throwing comments that could be misconstued by the press? The previous month was a disaster for trump. Why? Because he was all over the place and the media was crushing him. And more important, Hillary was dead quiet. She was letting trump dig his own grave. The last 2 weeks? Hillary has been front and center and the more Hillary is out in the public, the more they hate her. And trump has been delivering outstanding hard hitting speeches that state on point. And his polls were going up. It’s all common sense.
I will look at this.
Time to call these slimeballs out for this.
I am an ordinary citizen. I demand that Hillary, to show she really believes in her gun control position, have her body guard give up their guns and henceforth accompany her unarmed.
