You are correct. The MSM will elevate anything Trump says and attack him for it but the same thing said on the liberal side will be given a pass.
Trump was really implying ‘if only Democrats practiced what they preached’ but if liberal media had to address that aspect...

CNN is such a pathetic “Joke” of a supposed news network..I have been saying the same thing for YEARS I guess Trump stole my idea..I have always said those who want to take OUR guns away should disarm first..Hillary Clinton, Obama, celebrities, let their armed guards walk UNARMED and see how they like it..so what is this ditsy reporter saying, that because Hillary Clinton will not be armed it means someone will kill her..well GEE that is how we ALL feel if we are all left unarmed you ditz, you just proved my point

His base (us) loves these comments. However, how do the lemmings, who he is trying to win over, see it? These tools read the NY times and watch cnn. They are easily swayed by the MSM. Unfortunately, trump needs them too.

Fine, but there’s a lot better way to do it. The difference is not what Trump said but the context in which he put it; he should have put it positively, something on the order of “look what the armed Secret Service guys did in protecting me from that young Brit lunatic who was armed; the Second Amendment protects everyone”. These foul mouths in the media have lost a lot of influence, but they still have power to set the agenda through sound bites and they will not hold back if they can be thrown against Trump. He had a great two weeks focusing on the economy, foreign policy, distressed neighborhoods and factory relocations which is why he moved up in the polls and the electoral vote, it is NOT because of her “spell” at the 9/11 ceremony. His positive accomplishments are all obscured when they don’t have to report it and can spend 24, 48, 72 hours focusing solely on what they take to be a gaffe.
CNN craves arrest powers.

I used to really just resent the lying, propaganda media. But they are taking this Trump hating, America hating, lying manipulative insanity way too far on CNN nowadays. There should be some recourse against this level of slander and treason among these little, disgusting, authoritarian, Orwellian propaganda bastards. I have never seen a worse group of human beings, except maybe ISIS.
Trump has said the very same thing several times since May, pointing out Hillary’s hypocrisy when it comes to guns. She wants regular people disarmed, but won’t disarm those protecting her. This is an excellent argument, and there isn’t anything even vaguely wrong or threatening about it.
That CNN would choose this moment to begin demagoguing and lying hysterically about it, like they think their viewers are a bunch of imbeciles who will buy any B.S., is a sign only that they are in full-on panic mode to do anything to stop Trump, even if they throw their careers away as “journalists” in the process. Hillary’s campaign doesn’t put as much lying, manipulative, deception and hate-filled, snarky B.S. out there against Trump as their lapdog network, CNN. CNN has moved past being a joke; it is now an actual threat to the survival of a free and open democratic system in our country. Having a pure propaganda wing of the media that has zero to do with reporting the actual news is a threat to any free people.
