On Tuesday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump declared that the African-American community is in the "worst shape it's ever been in this country" in front of a predominately white audience in Kenansville, N.C. At the same time, just about an hour and half away in Charlotte, mostly black protesters were angrily clashing with law enforcement over the controversial police shooting of yet another person of color, Keith Lamont Scott.
Both of the scenes addressed the phenomenon of the violence against black bodies -- but the voices appear to be coming from diametrically opposed directions.

There is a social breakdown in the black community. Also I’m sure black on black crime was never this bad. That is probably what he meant, maybe he should have clarified the time period.

Determining truth for a normal healthy person means trying to figure out what is actually so, based on evidence and logic and such.
Determining truth for the leftist means trying to figure out what one is supposed to think and then looking for evidence and arguments to back that up.
When a leftist encounters an assertion that goes against what they are supposed to think, they feel offended. Often they will call the assertion "outdated" or "behind the times".
If they are presented with a solid case for something that is not "allowed", they will interrupt, scoff, speculate on ulterior motives and shift their ground, obfuscate, equivocate, and perhaps even challenge the basic decency of the person making the logical case, in an attempt not to end up thinking something they are not "supposed" to think.
And when all else fails, the leftist labels the person making such a bigot and avoids them or ostracizes them. They may lash out in various ways--for they will feel the reasonable person has a deep moral flaw for not believing what they are "supposed" to believe.
With this mind set, these liberal fools think that Trump is in trouble for saying what is not allowed. Where with conservatives, he is applauded for trying to base his opinion on truth--even if we don't agree with him on any particular point. I think most of us see he actually does care about basing his opinions on actual facts instead of staying on the mental plantation of permissible thought.

If officers encounter suspicious behavior on the way to nabbing another person, I'm pretty sure it's ok to investigage the suspicious behavior first and that doesn't make it a 'wrong man' thing. Some of the ideas that people have swimming in their heads amaze me at times.
