Defeating the Culture of Death
Vanity | 9/24/16 | pgyanke

The next president will likely appoint a 7-2 Supreme Court. Think this election is just politics as usual? Think again. If that president is Hillary Clinton…

“I do have a litmus test, I have a bunch of litmus tests, because the next president could get as many as three appointments,” the former first lady responded. “It’s one of the many reasons why we can’t turn the White House over to the Republicans again.” . . .

“We have to preserve marriage equality,” Clinton said. “We have to go further to end discrimination against the LGBT community, we’ve got to make sure to preserve Roe V. Wade, not let it be nibbled away or repealed.”

Catholics represent as much as 25% of the electorate overall and as much as ⅓ in CA and NY. No politician should be able to advocate for intrinsic evil and expect Catholic votes—no politician can be elected without Catholic acquiescence in a national or state election. Yet, Catholics have split their vote down the middle for a number of election cycles. No one respects our priorities because we don’t stand for them ourselves, as a group.

Despite all of our efforts so far in our marches and prayers, if Hillary Clinton becomes the next president, she gets the chance to cement abortion and a redefinition of marriage as law for generations. We can stop it. Support for evil should become the next “third-rail” of politics that no politician would ever dare touch again.

So far, I have sent a copy of "Defeating the Culture of Death" to every Cardinal, Archbishop, and Bishop in charge of a diocese in America. My experience to date tells me the strategy of "ignore him until he goes away" will continue. There isn't much time. I prepared a bulletin insert anyone can print and try to get into their Church bulletins. Will you help me? This election will be over all the way down the ticket when Catholics vote like Catholics.

May God bless all of our efforts to end the culture of death.

Time is short. If we can get a bishop of courage to take a solid stand, we will have done something significant... and hopefully others will follow.

How about the little-p priests — all believing Christians.

Agreed. One cleric is not going to turn this around. A movement could, and should, as this is a cultural failure and should reflect broad repentance.

That ought to be the model throughout Christendom, not just the Protestant piece of it.

Everybody discovers Jesus in their lives. No more letting the Joneses do it for us.

Change the bulletin to Christian. I’ll be glad to print and distribute if you would.

Yup. I don’t think denominational lines have a huge effect on who gets out and walks the pilgrimage though. Like Calvinists evangelizing, some people just walk the walk because they know they should.

There's a time to highlight differences of speech & practice and a time to unite in purpose. If we can unite around the sanctity of human life, we can argue doctrinal differences to our hearts' content when the culture of death is put down. If we fail to unite, we may be lose our last chance in generations to beat them back.

A movement could...

May God ignite such a movement through our efforts.

May God bless your mission and you both. Thank you for seeing the importance of this election. From the normal, us vs. them, it is about our role in saving millions of lives. There are other freedoms to be concerned about but the freedom, right to life, is most important. That issue alone TRUMPS all of the progressive agenda items.
AMEN.

Probably THE most important election in our collective lifetimes. If that pig in a pantsuit becomes our president this country, the free World is finished. We cannot take another four years of Democrat sharks feeding off our flesh.

If Hillary gets in, we lose the first and second amendments.
