For those wondering how this goes.....class-action suit probably....into the billions....and the big question will be where they decide to place the suit.
At this point, with the Saudis in some trouble over oil prices, they have to be asking where the heck this leads onto. If they reach some conclusion and it’s in the five to ten billion range...they might agree and just pay it. But one might wonder if the Twin Towers owners want a piece of the action, and what a jury might decide is “fair”.
At this conclusion....maybe four years down the road, we could be talking about freezing virtually every dime of Saudi money and putting the whole kingdom into a financial tailspin. The Iranians would be happy as heck to see this happen, and so would the Russians.
Oil price just spiked but don’t know the timing versus the actual vote.

The only ones who make out in a case like this are the lawyers who pursue the cases. I can almost guarantee you that there won't be a single penny paid by a foreign government to an American victim of terrorism as a result of one of these cases.

Maybe you can answer this for me? Why these doomsday predictions, threats to our military, financial cataclysms, and most of all, why is this called “unprecedented”? Didn’t the Lockerbie families do essentially the same thing against Libya, for same reason, sponsoring terrorism, and with the cooperation of US govt?
