President Barack Obama is quite proud that his signature health care law has expanded coverage to 20 million more Americans. But he admits the law could be strengthened, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said on Monday.
The president does have some ideas for things that we could do to further strengthen Obamacare. The first is to find a way to ensure that every state across the country is expanding Medicaid, consistent with what was envisioned in the law.
Earnest said too many Republican governors have blocked Medicaid expansion just because of political differences with Obama. But some of those governors point to the anticipated cost of Medicaid expansion.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.
Oh wait, you were serious?
Let me laugh a little louder.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
As the Associated Press reported last week, the cost of expanding Medicaid to millions more low-income people is increasing faster than expected. In a recent report to Congress, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services said the cost of expansion was $6,366 per person for 2015, about 49 percent higher than previously estimated.
(Democrat Hillary Clinton has promised that if she’s elected president, she would work to expand Medicaid in the remaining 19 states that have not done so.)
Our RINO governor wants desperately to go along with Obamarx’s idea but many of us hammered our state legislators, saying NO WAY IN H***! I emailed every one of them multiple times.
Fortunately, we have a Republican super-majority in our General Assembly and they voted against Haslam’s plan. He’s still mad at them and still badgering them about it.
I’m just saying. The GOP had lots, and lots of time to do something to fix our mess of a medical establishment.
They did nothing. Zero.
They have not helped. You may disagree with Obama on this, but what in the heck have Republicans done?
I say diddly-squat.
Nothing.
Was always the plan.
Destruction of America.
What have democrats done to encourage gun ownership? I say diddly-squat.
Nothing.
So... we pay higher taxes so others can have discount healthcare, then we pay higher premiums on our own healthcare so others can have discount healthcare.
And then the quality of healthcare declines for everyone, because doctors aren’t getting paid what the market value of their labor mandates.
The yahoo obama takes a nosedive into brainless Marxism, setting the United States on the path already rejected by the former Soviet Union.
Oh I agree with you completely on the 2nd Amendment. Completely. 100%.
But the GOP has not been nearly so brave, or principled about healthcare.
Not in the least.
I do disagree with Obama. Do you? Funny that you’re fairly new here, and your contribution to the discussion is a critique of the Republicans? Hmmm.
I’ve been here since 2005.
Am using this login while overseas. I was originally Cringing Negativism Network.
Just saying. The GOP has been completely out to lunch on this subject I firmly believe.
Just saying.

Everything the Right said would happen, did.
Obama and Hillary claimed Obamacare was going to ignite the economy like we’ve never seen before!
Hell, he couldn’t even lower Emergency room use.
What was Obama been right on?
His Green Energy was a scam where consumers were forced to buy “smart meters” that provided absolutely no benefits the poor people forced to buy them.
Obama also took away Savings accounts from families with chronicly sick children, they are being phased out.
The RINOs always said its not a good time to be seen opposing Obamacare. They better throw the RINOs overboard and stand up to this crap.

The answer is:
o Create 24 hours a day 'clinics' in hospitals NEXT to the Emergency Rooms where the poor are comfortable going... 'Give a credit' of $500 to each person who qualifies... and assign an amount they pay per visit... Say two bucks for someone totally broke...(that's 250 visits before they start paying out of pocket) Let each person CHOOSE the doctor they want to see. The two bucks is subtracted from the poor person's 'account', the doctor is paid a normal office visit by Uncle Sam. Because doctors are 'chosen' those who aren't good to their patients won't make enough money to stay in the system - assuring that patients are treated with respect. This avoids the VA mentality and asorted types of horrors that happen when 'care' is seen as charity. Because Hospitals aren't getting massive write offs the system starts to pay for itself. Everyday citizens can also use the system - but they would pay the equivalent of an office visit to a private doctor. No forced insurance... no bookkeeping.. no tax write offs, no degradation of the human spirit.
Just 'medical care' which is what the poor want...No one was ever clambering to buy health insurance. How does that work for you cba123?

Obama has hated everything about America his whole life.
He loves to fall back on - you can do it, but I’ll make it so expensive, it’ll break you.
His global warming speeches showed his exuberance for making Electricity costs skyrocket.
His real goal was to change America, erase America.
The line of demarcation should’ve been when Congress and the Senate balked at having the Obamacare like everyone else. The Republicans should have stood against it - and against funding it with full force at that time.
They all said it was the greatest thing since fire, and the Media loved it, all the Talking Heads. All the anecdotal stories about families with sick kids ceased immediately. Not another was ever printed.
Who didn’t know that young people working crappy Obama service jobs wouldn’t spend $240 a month for something they couldn’t afford to use, with the deductibles.
And States have thrown away Millions on the scam.

Oh sure, have the taxpayers subsidize more of the poor’s medical needs. It’ll only make matters worse.
BOHICA
Obama’s a crappy golfer and a crappier president. He should stick to the golfing.
Any sector of the economic that is built on the ludicrous presumption that people don't have to pay their own bills is doomed to fail. In health care, the end result is that the whole system ends up existing as a massive bureaucracy whose sole purpose is to shuffle paperwork and money around so that everybody is broke but nobody thinks they're actually paying the full cost of their medical care.
Good luck in finding doctors who accept Medicaid.
Obamacare is a failed mess. If there is a lesson in it then it's that when the government tries to help in this area then it fails. Hopefully the Republicans see this and do a repeal and not replacement. But my fear is that they'll still try their own worthless alternative.
