Trump is not perfect, and I’m not going to try to get folks to think he is. What baffles me is that he is nowhere near what Billy Jeff was, and the media adored him.
These guys can’t just say what they like about Trump. They feel compelled to trash him while saying they choose him.
It’s a very strange dynamic. I see it here on the forum too.
Today’s release of his early objectives is probably the best one I’ve ever seen. He covered more bases in that speech than I ever would have imagined he would.
None the less, many of the folks who admit they’re going to vote for him, find a way to offer up a dig at the same time.
IMO, Trump deserves better. We bitched for nearly 30 years to get someone who say things our way. Now we’ve got that guy, and still some of us are only barely able to vote for him.
Beats anything I’ve ever seen.
He’s the best we’ve seen seeing exactly what we do, but none the less he’s just barely acceptable to some.
Yikes.
No the San Diego paper is no longer owned by conservatives. Now owned by tribune company, which also owns LA Times. A few big companies own most of America’s daily papers, and they are not conservative companies
Well that didn’t last too long. Seems like only a few years ago when Manchester took over the Union Trib.
Thanks for correcting my earlier statement.
It’s no surpise that the R-J editorial board jabbed Trump in their endorsement for him. Vegas was one of the first anti-Trump places in the world beginning in the 90s when all the PTBs blocked him out of vegas commerical real estate and gaming licenses. Some of that decades old vitriol still echoes throughout vegas, albeit much less audibly.
Now that Trump has landed this endoresement, his stature has truly ascended in Vegas.
Let’s hope Sheldon can buy a few more papers around the country to reverse this trend.
Great post! Bttt
You have no idea. My conservative projection is Trump 65%, Cankles 27%. This has been my prediction for well over a year now, as recorded here on FR.
God Himself has chosen Donald J. Trump to be His Hand on Earth as he readies the flock for The Harvest. His Spirit has promised that He will:
* Restore to America sevenfold all wealth stolen from her over the decades, making America the greatest monetary force on the planet by a huge margin, and making the U.S. Dollar the permanent world currency standard.
* Personally remove from power all who threaten or attack his Chosen. Just look at British PM David Cameron, Glenn Beck, Megyn Kelly, Debbie Wasserman Schulz, every Republican to hoist a banner against him, etc., etc., etc.
* Consider the U.S. and Israel as one entity regarding End Times Prophecy, since the US is the only Christian Nation avowed to stand with Israel.
It is God's own Plan that Trump should be chosen for this particular job at this particular point in time.
None shall prevail who stand against Him. Let all who have ears hear, so says The Spirit of The Lord.
I appreciate the comments. You made some good points.
Thank you.
Obama is scheduled to rally for Hillary in LV.
Even since he bought it, it seems that every 5th ot 6th item has something negative to say about DT...
There’s a lot of leftist trolley here, DO. Keep that in mind.
Virginia has a lot of black voters. And they are not fired up by Hillary.
Trump can win this state.
Our big problem in Virginia is Governor McAwful and voter fraud. He even pardoned felons to bestow them voting rights.
Thanks for posting! Went to the ReviewJournal website and read the editorial in full - they get it!
Our big problem in Virginia is Governor McAwful and voter fraud. He even pardoned felons to bestow them voting rights.
I apologize in advance here, for picking this nit: though McAuliffe restored voting rights to felons in a transparently duplicitous fashion, he did not "pardon felons" per se.
He first tried a blanket restoration of voting rights for 206,000 felons; his blanket restoration was rightly overturned by the Virginia Supreme Court; but then he restored the rights, on an "individual basis" to some 13,000 felons. (Pretty amazing that he miraculously found time to do this individual review of 13K felons' cases while performing his other gubernatorial duties, huh?)
Speaking of amazing, isn't it amazing and utterly fascinating that the various media outlets didn't question the fact that only 13,000 of the previous 206,000 won McAuliffe's "voting rights restoration lottery"? That is, no one seemed to question the transparent unseemliness exposed by the fact that Governor McAuliffe had previously tried to restore the rights of an additional 193,000 other felons with his blanket executive order. No one pointed out the glaring fact that with McAuliffe's blanket order, he sought to basically disenfranchise over 190K additional law-abiding citizens.
As one of those law-abiding citizens who was (and still is) disenfranchised, I view McAuliffe with complete and utter contempt. Granted, he was a Clinton crony and a Democrat hack from the get-go. Thus, my opinion of him wasn't good to begin with. But the brazen nature of his actions is just one more reason why I cannot understand why anyone would vote Democrat. The Democrat Party has been hijacked by thugs, thieves, crooks, and criminals.
Al Capone was a piker compared to the modern-era Democrat Party.
I wonder how much of this is a for Trump screed, and how much is their personal angst with dealing with the likes of Harry Reid for all these years who is not all that different "if ya know what I'm sayin'" wit a Jersey accent, than the Clinton's... They may want the swamp drained of the likes of "him" too...
No surprise Saul Alinsky’s mentor was Frank Nitty. Alinsky admitted he had only invented a better, less risky method of extortion. Hillary’s idol was Alinsky. Why are we not surprised one can truthfully use Al Capone and “this gummint” in the same sentence with a verb like “corrupt”.
When Trump's Attorney General starts investigating the Crintons, IMO, he will find an entire landscape of crimes and I am sure that McAuliffe will be part of this.
I assumed it was a pardon since that technically is within his power. But to grant felons the right to vote without legislation?
You aren’t kidding!
