The latest Fox News poll shows Donald Trump only 3 points behind Hillary Clinton, after reporting the week before that he lagged by 6 points and before that by 7 points, but an analysis of the data indicates that the shift is animated by a big swing by white blue collar voters to Trump.
White men who have only a high school education backed Trump by 16 points in the Fox News poll one week ago, now support him by an amazing 30 points — a gain of 14 in Trump's direction.

I don’t think the polls will be completely honest. They can be wrog on purpose ONCE, agonize over why it was an outlier, and still get business next time around. MAYBE, some upstart who gets it right will break into the upper ranks on that basis.
Also, it is HARD to get polling right when many people hang up the phone, lie, or say they are going to vote and then don’t bother.
If the line is 90 minutes long, who goes home first, the “Not Trump” type or the “Not Hillary, and hell yeah Trump” type?

Hillary isn’t attracting the typical level of black vote either. I read one poll that said she was getting a little over 70% of the black vote.
These polls are propaganda tools.
Sure - say more people are supporting Trump but make sure they’re blue collar guys who don’t know any better. The smart elite folks are supporting Hillary.
The news networks and other groups who sponsor polls are always ready with excuses as to why they were off. And it's never their fault. Typically, they'll blame the turnout- either higher and lower than expected.
It's kind of like a bookie operation. It doesn't really matter who wins or loses, only that they have people willing to put money in from both sides.
