A few tips before you head north. First, if you do keep your promise, bundle up; 22 below zero isn’t uncommon in some cities, but the frostbite scars and missing appendages will make you a living testament to your integrity and show all those people in the lower 57 states you are a person of conviction. Summer isn’t that hot, although highs of 113 degrees have been recorded, but the intense humidity helps you sweat and keeps you more comfortable. Also, watch out for the state bird: it is actually a mosquito.
Once you have crossed the highly secure border -- if your paperwork is in order -- great things await you. If you are polygamous, each one of your wives can get welfare, too.

Yes, just about anyplace. My daughter & her husband just drove across on a dirt road (had no gate or fence, was used for farming) a few years back with rifles and went hunting. Never got caught. They said they went about 60 miles into Canada.
Up here in ND there are thousands of places to cross. But there’s no reason to illegally cross, it’s so easy to use an entry point. It’s actually harder to reenter the US, as our folks can be real jerks.
I swear they might head for Alaska instead!

My wife and I visited Ottawa in 2012 to attend a wedding. At the border ICE scanned our passports & we were told to pull into a holding area, unload our car, have it searched, and we had to fill out a customs declaration. Took nearly two hours.
That we are both retired military with CCWs had something to do with it, I am convinced. How much personal info is in that passport mag strip, anyway?
