President-elect Donald Trump jeopardizes the global economy through his promises to block Middle East oil imports for the purpose of creating an energy independent United States, according to petrostate Saudi Arabia.
Over the course of the two-year American election process, Republican nominee Trump promised on the campaign trail to divest U.S. interests from our foes and the oil cartels, referring mainly to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), of which the KSA is the largest producer and de facto leader.
At his heart President-elect Trump will see the benefits and I think the oil industry will also be advising him accordingly that blocking trade in any product is not healthy, Khalid al-Falih, chairman of Aramco and Saudi Aramco Oil Minister, told the Financial Times in Marrakesh, where world leaders are currently negotiating the nuts and bolts of the landmark 2015 climate change agreement.
Saudi Arabia is the U.S. largest Middle Eastern oil supplier, though the North American country gets most of its energy from domestic and Canadian sources.

That would be so great!
So many signs of America winning
It most certainly could. Thanks for the reminder that Saudi Arabia bought off the Clintons. Clearly it was a bad bet.
Let them eat their oil.
Trump will “drill baby drill” and gas will be a dollar a gallon. They can’t afford to send it here at that price.
Shove it goat humpers.
And if they try to carry out their threat against Mr. Trump, I'd love to see it become the house of sand.
These royal desert rats are trying to play hardball with Trump. Will he next wake up with a camel's head in his bed?
Saudi Mafia.

Key word......
Blocking
Trump will not block and there will be no problem
Now that sounds like a three-way deal right out of TRUMP's book: we keep buying their oil, Saudis build refugee cities, Saudis agree to receive Muslim refugees.
OK, we’ll just cut back to a barrel a day to keep the terrorists away.
I will gladly pay a higher price for our own oil as these new fields come online, even if OPEC slashes prices in attempt to subvert our own resources.
not me......
China will buy up any Middle East oil the US doesn’t want, and the Chinese have a considerably lower threshold of b.s. they will take from the Arabs.
Secure the borders, cut off the flow of jihadis into the US, develop US energy resources - and then cut off Saudi imports.
It has to be done in an orderly fashion.
Just frack until the price goes so low the Saudis have to shut down their wells.
the house of sand
Bottom line, they're energy independent, why shouldn't we be?
Too many damn many little tails think they have the right to wag the dog. Time for that to end nationally and internationally.
No worry. However foreign oil may be tougher to unload at the docks.
Actually no, somebody like China can pick up the slack instead of us. I don’t know if this has changed, but I believe a few years ago our Canadian oil imports exceeded our Saudi imports by a bit. Sooner or later, the Saudis would get less and less purchased by us to avoid another 1970s oil crisis.
Trump needs to establish an elite squad of Marines whose sole duty is kicking the sh!t out of all these poseurs who are presuming to warn (i.e., threaten) him about things.
The house of saud will become the house of sand.
