NO. This guy puts his pride in himself before everything else. God knows what he would do in such a position. Whatever made him feel good.

Heck, they can nominate me ... I've worked in the courtroom as a court reporter since 1978. I've probably got more courtroom experience than most judges, and certainly most attorneys.

“Fat chance. Kellyanne has already stated its not going to happen. President Trump will stick to his previous list under consideration.
Cruz is looking for work because he likely is in trouble in Texas with his Senate seat.”
Trump will find something for him. I suggest he be given an opportunity to show he fits in and is effective, before he is given serious consideration for a lifetime appointment. Someone suggested Inspector General.

Can’t trust the guy. Too easily manipulated. Blackmail-worthy baggage. John Roberts Part Deux.

Isn’t there a job called the Solicitor General???? Kagan was in that role, right? Maybe that is what he is talking to him about.

There you go. What is it 23 Democrat seats will be up for grabs and many of those are now in states that went for Trump. With the Dems imploding and digging the hole they’re in like a steam shovel, it could be a massacre, politically speaking.

Maybe the next opening, after we sweep 2018 and have a super-majority in the Senate. My guess as well. It's hard to believe that Kellyanne would put her statement out as quickly as she did without talking to the boss first.
So I'm skeptical about Scalia -> Cruz
but optimistic about Ginsburg -> Cruz.

I wonder how many have argued cases before the SCOTUS and lost more than they won.

Is (former?) Alabama State Justice Roy Moore at least on Trumps list?
Justice Moores only crime, imo, was trying to protect state sovereignty.
To: conservative98
Setting aside Ted’s post-nomination egocentric shenanigans, I’m not comfortable with him on SCOTUS based on his wife’s history and connections. I think it could undermine his objectivity more than I’m comfortable with. Hope Trump sticks to his list!

He had his chance and blew it.
Many people tried to tell him he was wrong.
My feeling is Cruz knows he is going to loose re-election in 2 years and he is looking for a new job.
Perry vs Cruz...
Perry wins.

Golly gee, Senator Cruz, perhaps you should have dropped that "bitter, sore loser" routine immediately after the convention by hitting the campaign trail with sincere vigor for Trump, ya think?

Kellyanne has already stated its not going to happen. President Trump will stick to his previous list under consideration. While I think Trump will stick to his list and pick somebody else, I haven't heard Kellyanne say that it's not going to happen.
