http://www.philly.com/philly/news/politics/presidential/20161204_Jill_Stein_campaign_drops_recount_effort_in_Pa_.html

“According to her statement, she plans to hold a news conference about the recount effort Monday morning outside Trump Tower in New York City.

Meanwhile, Stein’s campaign intends to continue its county-by-county recount effort in Pennsylvania, said attorney Larry Otter. That requires efforts in individual precincts - a process that requires three voters to petition their local election boards.

Recounts are currently underway in Bucks, Montgomery and Delaware counties, Otter said.”

Evidently, this is Stein’s request for a statewide recount. She is still pursuing a recount on a county by county basis.

Here’s the link:

http://www.philly.com/philly/news/politics/presidential/20161204_Jill_Stein_campaign_drops_recount_effort_in_Pa_.html

Appropriate quotes:

From the first paragraph: “Former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein discontinued her statewide recount effort in Pennsylvania Saturday afternoon after a Commonwealth Court judge mandated the campaign post a $1 million bond to press on with its challenge.” (note ‘statewide recount’)

The last two paragraphs:

“Meanwhile, Stein’s campaign intends to continue its county-by-county recount effort in Pennsylvania, said attorney Larry Otter. That requires efforts in individual precincts - a process that requires three voters to petition their local election boards.”

“Recounts are currently underway in Bucks, Montgomery and Delaware counties, Otter said.”

Failed to post the $1 million bond. She no doubt realized it was a waste of money.

The hearing on Monday was to have the statewide Presidential Election declared illegal, it wasn’t for a simple recount. The requirement was a Prima Facia case, meaning clear evidence of fraud or deceit. She had already admitted there was no evidence of fraud, she would have been laughed out of court.

She’s dropping her statewide challenge, but does that mean she may still request select precinct recounts?

he Green Party is dropping its lawsuit to request a statewide recount of the election results in Pennsylvania.

The Associated Press reported on Saturday that the party said it could not come up with a $1 million bond payment required by the court by Monday, when a hearing was scheduled. A court order filed Saturday called the matter “closed” after it said that petitioners had filed to withdraw the case. The Green Party had questioned whether voting machines had been hacked or manipulated
