You’re right about Staten Island, although it is fairly small in comparison. But the other four boroughs provide a margin for the Democrat typically in the millions.
Well, one thing WE KNOW for certain, and that’s that lefties and the MSM would have demanded Trump be given the Presidency had he won the Popular Vote but lost the Electoral Vote.
Clinton got 79% in Alameda County (which includes Oakland), a margin which was likely even higher in the city itself. Trump got 15%.
That said, a big chunk of the votes in California have not been counted...that state needs to get tougher on vote counting and election laws!
More than that, we are a federation of sovereign states, united for the limited purposes of common defense and one voice on foreign affairs.
Day-to-day governing of the People was to be left to the state Governors and legislatures. Interstate issues were to be addressed by the Congress, disputes were to be settled by the Supreme Court, and the overseer of the federation of states was to be the President.
Today, people believe that the President is the king who rules the people, and everything else is superfluous.

I did some quick checking, and if you eliminate just four counties in California (LA, San Diego, Alameda, and Santa Clara), Trump wins the popular vote nationwide. So there’s an argument for letting California secede from the Union.
Your post is a depressing reminder that our constitutional order has been nearly destroyed.
If you look deeply into the data, you will discover that Hillary!'s lead in the popular vote came from four (count 'em, four) counties in California.
The Counties of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Clara, and San Diego contributed 2.6 million votes to Hillary!'s 2.3 million lead in the popular vote.
If the Electoral College were not in place, it would have meant that the President of the United States was elected by four counties out of 3100+.
Amazing what happens when people wake up and realize they don’t care what the media thinks.
I live in California, so please tell me where we are going to find QUALIFIED, COMPETENT, teachers for those classes.
I worked with K through 12th grade teachers for over 32 years; in all that time I only ever dealt with ONE (1) teacher who was knowledgeable and competent to teach US History and Government.
And she was a social outcast at the school where she taught.
All the rest just taught politically correct pablum, and how evil the white man was for keeping the black man down, and causing global warming.
Supreme Court has a check. Congress can always override and/or impeach. Takes Congress with ethics and a spine, though.
So true; just look at their scores on the American Civic Literacy Test.
It’s online; look it up and take the long version test, it’s not that difficult for those in my age group, but it is an eye opener.
(yes, I will brag now, I scored in the 97th percentile).
Didn’t do as well on economics as I should have.
The Leftist teachers union doesn’t want kids having faith or understanding of the Constitution. They are an existential threat to our Republic.
“Change it to ONE VOTE PER STATE”
I see no reason why it isn’t done this way now. Popular vote in each Sovereign State gets that state’s one vote. Period! All votes, regardless of how they are rendered, will be in the hands of those doing the counting on or before the end of election day or it will not be accepted. No dropping yours in the mail on the last day! It’s time to lay STUPID voting to rest.
>>This election just about proves why we need the electoral college!

There never has been much state sovereignty under the constitution. The only time there was something approaching state sovereignty the Union almost collapsed because of it.
The role of the constitution is to establish a more perfect union. This implies a lot more than the union existing merely for defense and foreign affairs. There is a section within the document which forbids a wide range of state activities.
The real truth of the matter is that states have for over a century encouraged and assisted the fedgov to take more and more power. This means the 10th amendment has become almost meaningless.
Getting rid of the state appointed senators was a disastrously bad amendment and vastly increased the power of the fedgov.
