Hillary Clinton’s top political adviser John Podesta said the campaign is supporting an effort by members of the Electoral College to request an intelligence briefing on foreign intervention in the presidential election.

“The bipartisan electors' letter raises very grave issues involving our national security,” Podesta said in a statement Monday. “Electors have a solemn responsibility under the Constitution and we support their efforts to have their questions addressed.”

THIS is what Podesta meant when he took the stage on Election night. Sedition, plain and simple.

Hillary’s Dec 15th thank you party is not a thank you party. She will rescind her concession and the public battle for electors will commence at that moment and then over the weekend.

Five Days in December

Trump showed Hillary Kindness, she rightly saw that as weakness, so we went through a “Recount”, “Fake News”, and now this.

"The media sees the approaching end of their ability to persuade the public to their progressive way of thinking."

I think you are right. I have hoped that this election would be a tipping point in exposing their partisanship.

For a long time I have only watched Fox Business channel for news and commentary. But since the election I have visited CNN and MSNBC a few times. Each time I did it was obvious that they have gotten so carried away with their despair that they are turning even the most insignificant stories into opportunities for political spin. (and it ain't workin')

No, tomorrow is the certification deadline to get the #s to the Congress; the electors meet in their state capitals on 12/19.

Total losers.

Or maybe they think it all to clever for the Russians to put Debbie Wasserman-Schulz in as Chair of the DNC to assure the nomination of the worst presidential candidate in US history.

If they have PROOF of this, why not just have a press conference and lay it all out on the table for ALL of us to see it????

Answer: they have nothing.

When will they learn. W showed a distaste for fighting back so they skewered him. Now Trump has softened since his election and they only take advantage of his taking his foot off the gas. He should be out there informing people of Hillary’s breath taking lawlessness. And he should deport Soros.

Today’s Dem leaders are pure evil. Electors have no kind of security clearance. Dems do not care about the country, only their power. Bullies all. That's true, but the Clintons are on a totally different level than most Democrats. Their drive for power is insatiable. They don't respect laws or limits or boundaries. Kerry and Gore lost by much slimmer electoral margins but they didn't go to this extent to overturn the election. If Obama had lost the election, I think he would have also accepted the result. They are at least sane. The Clintons are on a different level.

The Electors’ “solemn responsibility” is being totally mischaracterized.

The “solemn responsibility” of electors, according to the recent Clinton line of propaganda, is to vote their conscience (in other words vote against Trump even though he won their winner take all state).

This is hogwash. Their solemn responsibility is to their state. To say otherwise is like saying a Senator elected as a Republican on a conservative platform should betray his constituents and vote with the democrats if he feels like it.

Representing means representing, not acting on your own behalf.

Electors exist for the exact same reason that senators exist: to represent the state as a whole, to give the state a little more clout regardless of population size. The states demanded this representation when they ratified the constitution, and they adopted and maintain winner take all rules all these years (with two minor exceptions) for this very reason.

If any elector really believes that his solemn responsibility is to put his own personal ‘conscience’ ahead of the will of the voters of his state, I strongly advise that he think again. I do not think he will be given a parade for it - in fact, I shudder to think of the wrath he would face for such a betrayal.
