Don’t give it back, cut it loose. But under the condition that all “red” counties and all US government property remain US territory. Let them make it on their own when the red state water stops, the defense companies leave, and all the conservatives move out.
Of course! We need access to the Pacific. The Northern part of the state will do.

There are at leat 6 MILLION illegals in CA. The MSM says 2. These are 2006 numbers....the year I left. Probably 7 million today, as La Raza claims. CA is finished.
If Californians want to secede, maybe we should let them.

There is no maybe about it. IF (which it probably won’t, at least not for years and further cultural and political divergence between the state and the rest of the country) and when this becomes a SERIOUS movement rather than just grousing because a Republican was elected President over their objections, we would be insane to oppose it.
I think of it like cutting off a diseased limb. Of course you don’t want to, you want to save the limb. But if that’s not possible, it’s prudent to amputate so the rot doesn’t spread.
It’s very sad. We should mourn what California has become. And fight to save it, after all only Texas and Florida gave Donald Trump more votes than Cali, but if can’t be reconciled and it’s increasingly non-American people actually wish to leave, we should bid them goodbye.
What would you think about this: Let California have a vote . Each county can make its choice. Those counties who vote to leave can, those who vote to stay remain.

In fact I’d love for the decent counties to be allowed to form a new state right now.
Slight problem with now rat leaning Alpine and Mono counties being separated from the rest of the rat counties.
Alpine is so small (1,200 people) and Mono not much more (14,000+) that they’re just a drop in the bucket, politically-speaking (and their Congressional and legislative representation is Republican). If they were more substantial in population, they might be more concerning, otherwise keeping them in a reconfigured California wouldn’t be a problem.
