A former British intelligence officer said to have prepared the recent dossier containing unverified allegations about President-elect Donald Trump’s activities and connections in Russia, has reportedly gone into hiding.

According to a report in The Telegraph, Christopher Steele, the author of the dossier who now heads a private security and investigation firm, is “terrified for his safety” and has fled his home in Surrey, England.

A source close to Steele said Wednesday that Steele fears a “prompt and potentially dangerous” reaction from Moscow.

I agree.

Problem is that it is now impossible to believe ANY news from ANY source.

McCain supposedly has admitted to giving the report to the FBI, if we can believe that report. I have not seen him on T.V. saying that. If I see him saying that, is it really him or a double. Has he been kidnapped by aliens and replaced???

He had to get the report from someone. Is it fiction that he sent someone to meet an agent with a newspaper? O.K., maybe the report was sent to him via U.P.S.

He is still a slime ball.

There is more to this “story”. We need to find the money trail.

"The emissary hastily arranged a transatlantic flight and met the source at the airport as arranged. (The Guardian has agreed not to specify the city or country where the meeting took place.) The meeting had a certain cold war tradecraft to it, as he was told to look for a man with a copy of the Financial Times. Having found each other, the retired counter-intelligence officer drove the emissary to his house, where they discussed the documents and their background.

The emissary flew back within 24 hours and showed McCain the documents, saying it was hard to impossible to verify them without a proper investigation. McCain said he was reluctant to get involved, lest it be perceived as payback for insulting remarks Trump had made about him during his rambunctious campaign.

McCain later gave the documents to the FBI, despite hesitation about getting involved because he had been targeted by Trump in the past."

No, that's exactly why McCrisis did it. Trump triggered that old cuck hard. McCrisis never had to accept that paper, and further he never had to pass it on the Alphabets.

I don’t think Chris Steele actually exists and is made up using that agent’s name from the Movie “Spy Hard”.
I also think it was a sting.

"CNN has reported that the report paid for first by anti-Trump Republicans during the presidential primary, and then was also funded by Democrats.

The BBC reports a super PAC supporting Jeb Bush’s campaign first commissioned the report from the D.C. firm FusionGPS. Steele continued working for FusionGPS after Trump’s win, and his research was passed on to Democratic Party figures, and eventually the media.

...[Steele] went to the FBI as well. He never heard back from them. He later met with Senator John McCain after a former senior western diplomat who had seen the documents told the Arizona senator about them, according to The Guardian." -Tom Cleary, Heavy.com

He should go to the FBI office and say the government is out to to him.

Is there any real evidence that Steele was the author of the dossier?

It seems to me that there’s more fake news than real news these days.

All he needs to do is tweet the real source,

That WOULD get him killed. I think he didn’t write it; that the story started from 4chan, was passed around from June 2016 to October 2016 with nobody biting. Then somebody started the whole Russia hacked election meme, based on this story, but by not defining the “evidence”, gave CIA/FBI/15 other agencies plausible deniability.

Once Buzzfeed published the full monte (as in 3-card), literate people were able to pick apart the “evidence” within hours. What I have been told is that story went from Anon at 4chan to Rick Wilson, to Evan McMillan, who conflated it with “MI-6 source” Christopher Steele, passing it on to Senator (S) “Songbird” John McCain, who was one of several to hand it to James Comey, who leaked it to the press, which made it marginally acceptable to print (in the eyes of people involved in reckless disregard for the truth, that is to say the state-run media.)

...but the Senate is too polite to one another. They are all in the club.

Tell that to Attorney General nominee Jeff Sessions. They seemed to have dispensed with their legendary collegiality at his hearings.

Yep.

All the garbage about spys and their sources being given this info is bunk. It started on 4chan as I prank in November, if what I read is true. Someone added in the spy element to give it some credence. Sucks to be them.

And shame on McCain. Shame, shame , shame.

Yellow bellied weasel.

My teacher told me I should never tell a lie.
Because a lie will bring you trouble, sure as pie.
It’s an awful thing to do,
And it’s true, as true, as true,
You’ll get caught and then you’ll start to cry.

You’ll have a horrid, painful pounding in your head.
And you will feel your face get hot and turn bright red.
Then your heart will start to thump.
In your throat, you’ll get a lump.
And you feel so bad, you’ll wish that you could
Lie right down and die!
You’re much better off to never tell a lie!

Not even sometimes!

Remember, never, ever tell a lie!

I suspect he disappeared but only to save his own hide when Hillary finds out that she was snookered out of whatever she paid for the story.

Bingo.

When you tell one lie, it leads to another
So you tell two lies to cover each other
Then you tell three lies and, Oh Brother,
You're in trouble up to your ears!
So you tell four lies to try to protect you
Then you tell five lies so folks won't suspect you
Then you tell six lies and you'll collect
A life filled with worries and fears

'Cause you can't remember how many lies you've told
And half the things you say aren't true
And sometime you'll slip up, you'll trip up and then
Whatever will become of you?
So you lie and lie without even trying
And each lie you tell will keep multiplying
'Till the whole wide world will know you're lying
Then you'll be
Suspected
Detected
Rejected
Neglected
Disliked
And you should!

When you lie, you're closing the door
On everything good

Apples and oranges. Sessions wants to leave the Senate treehouse, so now "The Club" is free to throw acorns at him. You could have asked Senator John Tower in 1989.

Re: the twitter acct being shut down...Yesterday morning he said he was meeting with a lawyer about preserving the evidence he has that he was the original author of the piss story. Maybe they decided to shut it down for that reason.

He said he shopped the piss story around when the DNC was offering 20k cash for stories to take down Trump (around the time the now disappeared groping whores were coming out from nowhere.)

I find it interesting he mentioned the dollar amount of 20k. I remember wondering what amount these girls were getting for their fake stories. It would be great if he was a mole in the Clinton camp.

Best comment here in years. Well done.
