Indeed this is true and why most (namely Shumer) should shut up about this and wait to see the outcome of the reform of the vetting process.
With that said I still maintain it wasn't implemented well. And indeed Trump's own words prove this. He said he would "suspend immigration from terror-prone regions where vetting cannot safely occur."
Suspending immigration is vastly different than prohibiting all from entering including green card holders. A green card holder is not some "undocumented immigrant" or to put it more accurately an illegal immigrant. Such a person is here legally and thus has already been "vetted". Anyone who knows anyone else who has a green card knows how detailed and costly a process it is to get one.
The idea is right the implementation was screwed up. Not good, for a president and administration who must know every action will be scrutinized with vicious impunity. Now because of that screw up the entire policy looks bad.
What would have been so difficult about saying "All from these countries are banned with the exception of green card holders and those who aided our war efforts in the region"? It wouldn't have been hard at all and no critic would have had a leg to stand on at that point.

My mother’s mother came to this country from a Muslim domain. She was a refugee seeking safety. I should enjoy the same safety from crazies that she got to enjoy.

In contrast, Americans did not agree with Obama’s decision to open the door to more Syrian refugees; at the end of 2015, a Quinnipiac poll revealed that 51 percent of the country stood against the move, while only 43 percent supported it.
There is the problem for Democrats — even as they rant and rave over Donald Trump’s assault on the progressive values of the elite establishment, consumer confidence has soared to 12-year highs.

Yes, and it seems that some of “us” here seem anxious to freak out whenever there is a ripple in the waters, hearking back to the “Oh no Trump is finished now for sure!” mentality.
Just settle down, relax, and let the man do his job his way. That approach has worked out pretty darn well so far.
And believe it or not, the President and his staff actually do have more information than posters on internet discussion boards.

Directors of airports, hospitals, schools, all incoming and out going ports of call, should have had all ready in place rules to maintain mobocracy and other outside elements that take hold of the rules to exploit their agendas.....no one should be in airports etc. other than passengers going and coming. Marxist/progressive protesters will face jail time for trespassing.
