SEALTeam 6 fought and killed female fighters of an al-Qaida affiliate in the raid Saturday in Yemen in which a team member was killed, three were wounded and three injured, the Pentagon said Monday.
"There were a lot of female combatants that were a part of this," Navy Capt. Jeff Davis, a Pentagon spokesman, said of the firefight in the raid Saturday, which the Defense Department and White House said killed at least 14 enemy fighters. "Some of those enem[ies] killed in action were female."
Davis said the SEALs saw the women running to fighting positions as the team approached an enemy compound in Yemen's interior.
The main al-Qaida group generally limits women to support roles and suicide attacks, but AQAP reportedly has put women through training for combat.

Could have been a security leak from our so-called “partners”—the enemy knew we were coming.
I could be wrong, but it seems we are involved in Yemen as the muscle for for Saudi Arabia.
Well, how about that? Exactly what I speculated yesterday. Jihadis train their women and children to be fighters and terrorists. Not to mention that all terrorists are civilians.
I’ve only ever seen one Osprey in flight and it was loud as heck, akin to a Chinook on its best day.
I’m guessing the Osprey was used due to the mission being beyond chopper range?

When I read of this raid a few days ago, it was written in a way that made it sound like the female fighters were WITH the US team.
I want an executive order,
“US will not risk troops unless we are trying to retrieve something physically from the location regardless of collateral damage”
In other words, don’t hang around terrorists, they will get you killed.

This is not the first our soldiers have had to fight against women. Hubby ran into it in Vietnam. Women were even driving tanks. And the old story of them walking down the street with a smile and a basket with a grenade in it is true.
We had better get used to killing women and children, they are jihadists too.
