I think during the primaries I had the biggest mouth against Ted Cruz, but Ted Cruz is an ELECTED Senator of Texas, by the Texan people and does have a great mind with some facts of the Constitution and has become a friend with President Trump...
(I never thought I would say this but) Senator Cruz can take to the floor of the Senate and do the things that President Trump can’t...and for that reason, Senator Cruz is our ‘ham’ and you best leave him alone!!!
Now if I can say that, then we should support Senator Cruz, and did you see this Castro guy wants to run against Cruz, imagine if you will if Hillary won, and at one time thinking of putting this guy as her V.P.....yeah, we all remember what a mess that could have been!!!

Small point - notice Ted calls him Bernie, NOT Senator Sanders. Like I’ve been saying - Respect is earned, not granted.

It was a little better in 1997, when I visited.... however, some customs die hard.

Repealing Obamacare is not up for discussion. No reason for a “debate”. Get back to the Senate and do your jobs, Senators.

A choice of only one or two providers is not a problem in the minds of the left. They totally believe a single payer system will be the salvation of American medicine. They drafted Obamacare to fail with single payer as the logical next step.
To: apillar
I didn’t watch it must have been a good Cruz performance. Combine that with CNN emailing the audience questions and you have something the NWO doesn’t want to discuss. We live in such deceitful times.

Yeah and I agree, it wouldn’t make a difference if he had been there, she was emasculated anyway!
To: Flying Circus
Correct.
And the insurance companies are the winners, really. They jacked up rates on healthy, working people so high during the transition to single payer, and then they will get the government contracts to administer them the same way they do Medicaid and Medicare, with doctors getting shafted.
To: Mr Ramsbotham
That was then.
This is now.
Cruz for SCOTUS! (Eventually).

Cruz, as a Senator, should have been in the Senate chamber voting against the motion to allow Fauxahontas to continue impugning fellow Senator Sessions. Warren was speaking to an empty Chamber. You know that, right?

With all due respect, Cruz had this scheduled for more than a week. Nobody knew that Warren was going to implode even when warned on this particular evening. Nobody knew when the debate would be because of the Democrats delays. Far more people who needed to see what he did to Sanders and ObamaCare saw it because the lemmings all watch CNN. The only reason I knew what was happening on the Senate floor at 8:00 in the evening was because of FR. The typical CNN viewer is never here. What the heck? Haven't you learned that facts never get in the way of hate.

I have always loved this story. It was Yeltsin, here in the states to represent Grobachev and he visited a grocery store in Clear Lake, Texas"
"It was September 16, 1989 and Yeltsin, then newly elected to the new Soviet parliament and the Supreme Soviet, had just visited Johnson Space Center.
At JSC, Yeltsin visited mission control and a mock-up of a space station. According to Houston Chronicle reporter Stefanie Asin, it wasnt all the screens, dials, and wonder at NASA that blew up his skirt, it was the unscheduled trip inside a nearby Randalls location.
Yeltsin, then 58, roamed the aisles of Randalls nodding his head in amazement, wrote Asin. He told his fellow Russians in his entourage that if their people, who often must wait in line for most goods, saw the conditions of U.S. supermarkets, there would be a revolution.
Shoppers and employees stopped him to shake his hand and say hello. In 1989, not everyone was carrying a phone and camera in their pocket so Yeltsin selfies werent a thing yet.
Yeltsin asked customers about what they were buying and how much it cost, later asking the store manager if one needed a special education to manage a store. In the Chronicle photos, you can see him marveling at the produce section, the fresh fish market, and the checkout counter. He looked especially excited about frozen pudding pops.
Even the Politburo doesnt have this choice. Not even Mr. Gorbachev, he said.
The fact that stores like these were on nearly every street corner in America amazed him. They even offered free cheese samples. According to Asin, Yeltsin didnt leave empty-handed, as he was given a small bag of goodies to enjoy on his trip.
About a year after the Russian leader left office, a Yeltsin biographer later wrote that on the plane ride to Yeltsins next destination, Miami, he was despondent. He couldnt stop thinking about the plentiful food at the grocery store and what his countrymen had to subsist on in Russia.
In Yeltsins own autobiography, he wrote about the experience at Randalls, which shattered his view of communism, according to pundits. Two years later, he left the Communist Party and began making reforms to turn the economic tide in Russia. You can blame those frozen Jell-O Pudding pops.
When I saw those shelves crammed with hundreds, thousands of cans, cartons and goods of every possible sort, for the first time I felt quite frankly sick with despair for the Soviet people, Yeltsin wrote. That such a potentially super-rich country as ours has been brought to a state of such poverty! It is terrible to think of it.

Wow, great story. Thanks for enlightening me on the whole thing.
I’d only heard it second hand and obviously got a few things wrong.
But the truth of capitalism over communism still holds. In capitalism, the bread waits on the shelf for you, in communism, you wait in line for the bread.

OK, I give up :-(
In my original message I was being too rhetorical, so I will say exactly what I meant.
I’m happy Cruz wiped the floor with Sanders on CNN last night, and he’s the best one to do it.
If he hadn’t been on CNN wiping the floor with Sanders, I wish he had been in the Senate chamber, wiping the floor with Fauxahontas prior to the rule 19 motion vote. My state’s senator Rubio did a yeoman job at the task, but Cruz would have politically cut her up in little pieces so that no one could ever have put her back together again.
That’s what I meant, and I’m sorry I didn’t just come out and say it that way.
And one more thing: part of me wishes he had been on the phone doing oral arguments with the 9th Circus, rather than Mr. Stutterer, but I don’t think it will make any difference in the ruling, which will be 2-1 supporting the restraining order, making Trump’s DOJ go to the full Circus, and/or SCOTUS, all the while everyone and his jihadist brother gets in the US while the TRO is in effect. But that’s an issue for another thread.

That may be true, but we need more jerks just like him. At least Cruz has a set of balls and isn’t afraid to use them, unlike most of the so-called Republican leaders, who are afraid the press might say something bad about them.

Cruz was masterful, but Sanders didn’t attempt to defend Obamacare. Rather, his entire thrust was that we needed to skip the ACA and go straight to universal, single-payer health care.

I watched part of the debate via replay so I might have missed it, but....
What I didn’t here from Cruz, to counter Bernie’s “single payer” crappola was:
Bernie’s state, Vermont, was forced to table its single-payer dream because it would have bankrupted the state. Why wouldn’t it have bankrupted the U.S.A. ?
